Forcing us to play support when we dont want to is not fun at all.
I don't feel like playing support period right now stop giving me auto fill. If your gonna make us auto fill we need to get something more out of it. FUCK AUTO FILL.

You do get something out of it, a few games immune to it
how about learning the bare bones of the role and just play it?
good lord people are entitled to everything now.
Its not about not being good at it or anything related in that sense, its about me not wanting to support period. I don't play support its that simple. How would you like it if u like playing a mage class in a game all the time but you know what? **NO FUCK YOU UR A WARRIOR NOW. NO MAGE FOR U. **See the logic there ? because there is none. You don't feel like playing warrior but i made you one. Wheres the fun in that ??
It's easier to cooperate with a role if you know how to play that role.
Supports are integral to the game. They are effectively "force multipliers" or however the term goes, and multiplies the team effectiveness rather than add to it. Even if you're a mage, supports are still going to interact with your kit in ways no other class can.
These interactions aren't always obvious, and you'll be able to play around it much better than if you had no idea what was going on, forcing the support player to hope you respond to certain actions appropriately (the number of times I've seen people disengage completely with Lulu's ult amazes me, considering it has an aoe slow not everyone knows about).
Unless you can honestly tell me that you know all the ins and outs of every support, their items, and how the role is played, then you'll improve your main role by learning how to support so you can be supported even better.
This is a team game. Please learn how to be a team member. This is simply the easiest way to do it.

Your point would be relevant if League was a more concrete style of game and if every single role was only compatible with certain classes.
League is not concrete. You are never guaranteed any role, any champ, or any play pattern from your opponent. In scenarios where you being a mage, such as Annie, is perfect for a game, it can easily turn around and be a completely bad idea in another game solely based on the different team compositions. That's the beauty of the different roles being composed of different classes. Support is the same way, and is possibly one of the more versatile roles in the game.
You are not locked into playing certain champ classes, as you could easily run mages or tanks in the role. The only obligations you have in the support role is to provide the bulk of the team's vision, don't kill enemies or creep unless necessary, and set up your allies to carry. That's it. That's the only way it differs from other roles, so if you can't adapt to the support role, you seriously need to relearn how to play the game.

Thing is, playing the ADC's bitch is not fun, especially since someone got banned or almost got banned or something for not doing what everyone else wanted him to do and winning anyways. League's official response was basically that "you can play what you want, as long as everyone else agrees with it". I don't like playing support, and I especially won't like it when someone saying "play Janna" can get me banned if I don't play Janna. Other lanes are not expected to play certain champions by the rest of the team near as often, so yeah, a lot less annoying.

The Singed got in trouble because he didn't communicate because he brought smite and proceeded to farm the enemy jungle until 2-3 levels passed. That's an entirely different situation.
I find it incredibly hard to believe that players exist that don't have champs that could double as a support, and furthermore, there's almost always someone available on rotation who they can use. If you buy a sightstone and stay in lane to harrass your opponent, you can function as a support with pretty much any champion. I've seen Shaco support work. I've seen Volibear support work. It's seriously not that hard to adapt to the role.
As for "being the ADC's bitch," that just shows how little respect you have for this being a team game. This game isn't just about personal glory and having your ego stroked (this is the #1 reason why support is disliked), it's about working with your team to win. Sure, the support helps the ADC - but it's a two way street. They're just as much reliant on you as you are on them. Learn how to cooperate as a team, and you might have better games.

I have plenty of good games, and what I meant by being the "ADCs bitch" is due to the Singed. It was claimed that he had a copy/paste of his plan every game, the thing is, their ADC didnt' agree with his style of play and this is what got him in trouble, ADCs reporting him because he wasn't playing the way THEY wanted him to play, while he was still winning games with that style of play regardless. They basically posted that "sure, you're able to do stuff like that and play champions like that, as long as you get permission". So, this basically validates the ability for ADCs and/or the rest of your team to COERCE you into picking something they want. And if you pick an off meta support and an ADC doesn't like it, guess what, that basically legitimizes them reporting you for it.
dude not my issue you have a small champion pool
Perks of being a support main is this doesn't apply to you
I don't remember Lulu's ult also having a slow on top of the knockup, maybe you just meant knockup, I dunno. Either way, assuming that a support is going to ult you when you go in knowing you'll get blown up if they don't is pretty reckless in this game, considering the sheer amount of times I've wanted an Orianna to ball me or a Lulu to hugeify me or a Kayle to cast Intervention on me when I initiate and she didn't even when pinging I was going in, so I can't say that it'd help you work with supports much or not, but it's not hard to play support champions one time and know what they do, or even look at their abilities, or see them in game, or even just look them up while the match is loading.
just deal with it.... no one likes to supp, well a very very very small amount in the community do
In my elo its either carry or get good. If i were in plat or diamond or something sure i wouldn't mind supporting since i know my teammates will follow up pings and take objectives when needed but im sliver and supporting at this elo is ridiculous im not going into any match just to flip coin and hope i dont have feeders i rather take the champion who can potentially carry and win the damn game myself not rely on everyone else.
I'm just confused why this was downvoted. Nobody wants a lane they didn't pick.. right? Only with this new autofill system has this EVER been the case. Pre Season 6, with first pick being basically everything... people got their lane a lot more. Also, even on Season 6 without the autofill in place... people got their lane. I just don't understand why it was taken from us... to "save queue time" when it is literally taking just as long. Then we have to wait for 6-8 lobbies to pass as people dodge because they get support. There's enough support mains out there. A lot of them are complaining that autofill is forcing them into mid all the time... I guess there's just something wrong with the system.
Im confused too the community really doesn't see the problem here they're acting like support is this duty i must do like the fuckin army draft or jury duty in the united states. And yes it is messed up because i dont mind waiting to get my role im only sliver i believe that problem would only be at a much higher elo where there's less people in general.
