Ranked players should know if there is a duo-que on their team

There should be a symbol in champ select or something. It is unfair to handicap a team and not let them know it. I just had a gold III Yasuo midlaner against a plat II Riven. If I had known that in champ select I would of preferred to dodge and just not even play LoL. What a waste of time for everyone on our team.

It is especially brutal in this stupid snow-ball meta. A single thrown lane can cost you the game super fast.

Completely agree.

Last season I had the pleasure of having a duo of an unranked and silver 5 on my team for a promo game into S1. That unranked player had the pleasure of facing a Gold 3 mid laner and proceeded to get stomped to the tune of 0/7 or so in around 5 minutes flat. Needless to say that game ended up badly.

This happens all too often, almost always in promo matches, to the point playing ranked became unenjoyable.

I'm not trying to say it happens ALOT, but when it does happen it is a faceroll. I know some people don't care and will just play it out, but I would greatly prefer to know so I can dodge.

It happened a lot in my ranked matches, I can't speak for anyone else. Trying to climb from S3/S2 to S1/G5 was impossible since these duo pairs always brought in mid gold 3's and 4's in my matches.

Dual players are usually Slot5+Slot4 (if similar ELO), or Slot5+Slot1 (if there is ELO gap). Usually you can figure out it at pre-game chatting, if they switch champions that's also a sign.

Previously there were some websites help detect dual players (I inspect it during game loading), but now probably Riot changed their API to hide that info.

And BTW the penalty for duoQing is WAY too big. The proble is the enemy team gets people an entire tier above, but that's not even the worst. The problem is that maybe it ends up so a silver guy in a lane somewhere is against a plat guy, which is not how a healthy system would work.
