What happened to Riot's goal of "role DIVERSITY" and why wasn't Skarner wrapped up in all the other reverts of poor reworks that were done?

Tr4shB4NSYST3M1 votesYeah that was a massive buff to the jg scorpion, and riot may use "role diversity" to a degree as a buzzword but they definitely push champs towards certain roles, to be fair though generally the ones theyre kits are more suited to.
Shahamut1 votesThere is no one else in the game with a passive that is so restrictive. Not only that, but the passive in general is terrible game design. I made a long post about it well over 8 months ago. Even got a rioter response on it saying he was "on a short list" of champions to get a "xin zhao" level update...
Still 8 months later, I have heard nothing back from them.
Tr4shB4NSYST3M1 votesListen man i get that you want to play him top, and you know what you still can but you just aren't rewarded for the split push 1v1 playstyle.
A lane skarner playstyle that WOULD synergize with his kit is more of a "farm to 6 and push and roam" playstyle, b/c the spires would help you cross thru river and JG quickely, make you stronger in skirmishes vs enemy jg, and b/c of his CC skarner pairs well in the 2v2 with a lot of other junglers you could have a massive impact on the other lanes and in getting your jg ahead.
I understand you aren't a fan of the mechanic but it is there for now, if you really love the champ you will learn to play around it.

You think I don't know the potential ways to use the spires? Did you consider, however, that if you or your jungler are not ahead, there is no way you will control those spires? or even if you do, that it will make any kind of difference?
Skarner has WAY more problems than just his spire passive, but it is by far the biggest offender.
Im simply past the point being in low plat now where there are many more one tricks than gold and below. You can't punish people as easily and the kit is getting heavier.
