So wait you're actually nerfing yourself by converting damage you take to unblockable true damage..?

No. Dot is put on you after reductions. For example if ability deals 1000 damage, but after your mr/armor its reduced to 600, it wouldnt put 1/3 of 1000 into DOT, but 1/3 of 600. It wouldnt make sense that it get double reduced by your defensive stats. Right? Cause if it would double reduce by 40% (just example based on my earlier calculation) it would deal very low damage.

I'm going to assume the damage is reduced by armor/mr before being converted to the dot. If that is not the case then it would be rather stupid

IIRC, the bleed deals true damage.

However, you have to keep in mind that the damage reduced has already taken your resistances into account. While you take true damage from the bleed, you will take the exact same amount of damage as you would if you didn't have Death's Dance.

If the bleed dealt physical or magical damage (matching with the original damage's type), then the damage would either have to be reduced before resistances or it would be mitigated twice by resistances.
