Kindred

Hey boards, so I started playing Kindred and I have a question:

My initial observations from playing Kindred was that she is more of a skirmisher/counter jungler than a teamfighter. Moving into the late game feels like I lose a lot of my power, could it be because Kindred has a smaller attack range than most? I'm not sure if I'm simply playing her wrong or if this power dropoff is natural, but I really do like Kindred based on the couple of games I've played as her

Late-game, their role seems to be primarily melting the enemy front-line and using their ultimate to protect their backline.

Try a build along the lines of: item 3006 item 1419 item 3085 item 3022 item 3071 item 3026

  • Masteries: 18/0/12 (Fervor of Battle)
  • Runes: Attack Speed Quints, Armor Pen Marks, (Scaling) Armor Seals, Scaling MR Glpyhs

Frozen Mallet and Black Cleaver are great utility items on Kindred due to the AoE slow and armor reduction they can apply using Runaan's Hurricane. Also, Kindred's autoattacks will apply two stacks of the armor reduction since their passive's damage applies separately.

That said, you seem to be climbing very, very well using Amumu jungle.

Good job there.

lol thanks, I only played ranked to get out of bronze. I might go for gold if I ever get the motivation, but I usually just stick to norms.

I'll try this backline thing, although adopting the role that's similar to an adc is not really my forte. We'll see how it works

with kindred 550 attack range. you will typically be peeling for your carries. i.e adc and mid lane mages. if they have a champion with hard cc that can get into the back line like renekton or maokai. you want to focus damage on that champion to peel for your teammates.

(tip: if youre at 11 stacks and have bt and ie in your build, you can solo baron with full build. when you get low simply ult away from baron so that he isnt invulnerable but you are so you can constantly do damage to him and you can solo.)

Kindred is an early game skirmisher and a powerful late game presence thanks to her ultimate. Since Kindred is a superb duelist, she is also bad in teamfights. Its true that she falls off as the game progresses, but she can still maintain her power level in the late game through good positioning in teamfights.

dude she sucks, here's why, you can only go 1 build for her, it's posted above the comments, if you don't go that build she's trash-that's the problem, no build diversity

Not true. I run 18/12/0 masteries with fervor. Enchantment bloodrazor, beserkers, cleaver, bloodthirster, lord Dominicks/mortal reminder, and either banshee veil or something like serrated dirk depending on sit. Peels back players well. Managed 18/7/17 in normal game more than once as well as quadra kill. Still fiddling with the build but as long as you play them right and learn little tricks etc she's actually quite good. And with the stacks they actually get better as the game progresses. The stacks are uncapped.
