Returning player, what kinda newfangled support items are there these days? (esp defensive)

Hey I'm a returning player, used to main support. What kind of newfangled support items are there these days (and are your favs), and what item would be a replacement for old aegis? (defensive)

I remember as supp if we were having trouble with the team used to run aegis and other items that give defensive stuff to teammates, what do you do now? Does anything give group armor or group magic resist nowadays?

Does adaptive helm only work for you or for your team?

Get the new locket of the iron solari, it's far stronger but you have to time it. There's an item called redemption, stack the bonus healing and shielding passives on similar items and you'll have a kit of teamfight changing item actives.

No buffs for team except from abilities/passives.

But depending on what you play there is many suggestions as to items you can grab and try.
