Accounting for DEATH

I have noticed many players going around the map aggressively killing the enemy with no thought to the fact that they are also getting killed just as often. Granted they are good at killing but many times they subsequently lose the game since they do not push the lanes. Their entire strategy seems to be to accumulate kills to pump up the stats and medals of their profile page. Winning the game is immaterial as long as they get the most takedowns. So I was wondering if their deaths should also be accounted for in the takedown stat. A player who scores 30-0-10 should get 40 added to their takedown score vs a player that scores 30-20-5 should get only 15 added to their takedown score. What do you think? Subtract their deaths when accounting for their takedowns even if it causes a reduction to the takedown score. I believe that currently the deaths have no impact on the score which allows this type of player to disregard death completely. Death should be accounted for inside the game and outside the game on the longer term statistics of the profile page. Players should be made more conscious of the impact their death has on their own team in game and their stats out of game. Selfish players that are only concerned with their stats see no risk involved when beefing up those takedowns.

I don't believe that there are many people out there who are playing a certain way with the goal of getting medals on their profile page. Their goal is probably to win the game, which they (incorrectly) think you do by chasing down enemies and getting lots of kills. True, players should be more conscious of the impact of their deaths, but the profile medals don't matter enough to affect that. And subtracting their deaths would make "takedown" a less accurate name.

I don't even look at my take-down score. I don't think it's a stat that many people try to pad.

I think you do have a point about players who roam for kills but then don't use that power to win the game because they are too busy looking for kills. The single most important thing in LOL is objectives. If you, as a player, realize that, organize your team to take advantage of that roaming player. If he/she roams bot, and scores a double. Say:

"Gj now get dragon" or just ping it like mad. or you could say "Gj! Now take that tower, and then bot go help mid take their tower too"

Now you're rewarding that roaming player for playing well, AND using what you know is important. Your team wants to win, even that dude(dudette) who is playing Akali and is at like 15/0/8 right now. That Akali wants to win too, help him/her win.
