Game Freeze not a Leaver

I just played a match where my game froze and I could not do anything. I waited for a long time to see if it would come back until finally I had to exit the game. I think the game continued without me since I landed on the ending status screen where there were comments from my team members. I did not leave the game and the system called me a "leaver" and made me promise to never do it again. What am I supposed to do in this situation? My internet was fine the whole time but the game froze me out. I think this is a bug. Please let me know how to handle this in the future. I do not want to be blamed for leaving when I did not leave. I was thrown out!
