Why is teemo not picked in Pro play ever?

I could only find 6 pro games ever where he was picked. He is not the strongest but I love him after I just started playing him. Why isn't he picked?

Ass insert inappropriate name said. He's garbage, I play him a lot and tend to do well with him and do enjoy playing him, but Teemo is pure garbage right now. He's been hit with too many nerfs with not nearly enough compensation.

Back when vision changes first came he was stupidly strong, 1 shroom could easily win a teamfight single handedly. They nerfed that damage on it and his E hard then buffed his Q giving him practically 1 good source of damage, after awhile item changes/runes etc. came and he was picked for a bit again, Riot nerfed him once more.

Then we have the glorious trash season we're in now where they introduced these new rune system and what not. He was strong for about 1 patch, then came another nerf to his E damage with no compensation.

The idea was that since nobody had armor/mr it was easy to bully with him instead nerfing him to be in line with everyone they decided to trash him.

Revitalize rune (the one that gives you regen after taking damage from a champion) Dorans shield His E nerf Cowl and now boneplating (or w/e this brand new keystone is called that reduces damage) as well as ninja tabi

His damage just gets negated ridiculously hard, he does have a few niche builds that can sometimes work but as others have said, why pick him over a champ that's flat out unfair?

I'm not a Teemo hater either so i'm not being salty. I have mastery 7 with him and play him quite often. He's just not worth picking competitively unless you 1 trick him

And lets be honest, he's not exactly fair when strong either.

Unless you have such high raw stats that you can roll over him, he dominates near every (melee) matchup.

And I remember when his shrooms would chunk you for 80% of your hp if you were a squishy. It was not a good time, especially with the lack of oracles at that point

He's to easy to focus early and destroy him completely. Plus he's not viable in late game either for the needs of organised professional play.

Basically Teemo doesn't do enough for a team comp, especially in a pro team. Why have a 300-400 damage shroom that can be revealed when you can have an Ornn ult or a Malphite ult or Shen. Not limited to these but those were some top laners I could think of.

No reason TO pick him, tbh. At best just a 1v1 lane-bully/splitpusher and this is a team-fight meta. Can't do anything once he's behind, and still not that great when going even compared to tanks or other splitpushers like Camille Fiora . He can't really "scout ahead" when there is less vision/safety and it's not like he will win a duel vs Khazix . His pushing/wave clear is bad and doesn't threaten a tank farming under tower and a Teemo that far up is asking to be ganked. He can't sneak up on any unsuspecting victim because of how organized/coordinated pro teams are with vision & communication.

He is strong btw ,his Q blind can do a lot against the adc and that's pretty good in this adc meta , the problem he is an easy target for mages ,which actually kills him by getting hit by a dead skillshot

Teemo is just a lanebully, like Heimer or Pantheon, he just doesn't offer much outside of lane, they tend to not pick these "No teamfight presence" champions in ProPlay

He is not a lane bully. If you are referring to his ranged advantage at top lane over melee champs then literally all ranged champs have this more or less. I stopped playing teemo after i learned the hard way that he is actually not a lane bully. I have watched countless games of pro's (challengers - diamond) players playing teemo and all but build defensive items alongside AP or just AD + defence. He is i would correctly say an annoying split pusher that has little team presence. I personally think he needs a rework (not a buff/nerf).

Simply put, he doesnt have much use outside of lane phase against organized team comps. No matter where you put him, you are losing a more effective champion for that role

He offers nothing to a team. His Strenght is in his lane bully power but Dorans shield + second wind + specters cowl makes it so that unless he all ins, his e and shrooms actually heal his opponent.

Outside of laning phase he is outclasses at split pushing and/or his team will lose a valuable soruce of engage/peel from their toplaner.

Not to mention since he will be shoving his opponent most lane he will be camped

They keep nerfing teemo when he dares to excel in solo queue (the only place he sees play) so if he keeps getting nerfs for that he's definitely not going to excel to the point of pro play.

i used to main teemo but i've seen the error in my ways and am having a lot easier time just playing other champs and climbing elo. teemo is just too squishy. so many champs with awesome abilities, you can accidentally potato him with a snare and he will die instantly in a teamfight. you have to build ap to be effective in an evenly matched late game and your damage isn't even that much compared to champs that can actually take hits. Your range is lower than most mid champs. His kit hasnt been updated since he was released I think, and I think he exists just for flavor cause he certainly is no where near good in higher ELOs. So now I only play him in normals for "fun".

If he such a garbage as u say then just delete this champion 1 and for all,and its will be good for all who hate him so much.BTW dalete YI too couse its ggarbage too by my opinion.
