I will continue to play nothing but malzahar, and only 1 of two ways. Neither of these are a bannable behavior in themselves and yet doing so will absolutely piss off your team. Hell you might even win a few games despite having one arm tied behind your back.

The truth is refusing to capitulate and being an intolerant minority in the community actually works so long as it isn't stopping the other people from doing what they want. Reverting malzahar has virtually no impact on other players, anymore than the rework itself had. Except in the opposite direction.

Yeah... why not? This is literally how discriminated minority groups influence a majority group, so as a persecuted minority of the league community, there's no reason that this wouldn't hold true. You might not like it, hell I even don't feel good about doing it. I empathize and sympathize with anyone's games I might ruin. When it comes down to it though, for them to revert malzahar would only act as a positive thing for the people I play with...

Hell, i'm not even just making this up out of nowhere. Here's a video explaining this phenomenon with sources to research on this trend. It's not the best video, considering the political context in which it's spoken about, but it does a good job at summarizing the concept and providing a range of examples.

In fact, one could even argue that a significant reason that the game has developed in the manner that it has, is because the least tolerant group ~5+ years ago, while people who enjoyed the game didn't mind satisfying them, so long as it didn't affect them.

Minority groups being white nighted for violent behavior is how we have a meltdown in society. It is neigher respectable or useful behavior. Plus making a champions whose rework was a failure does not make you a discriminated minority.

By the definitions of "discrimination" and "minority" in the context of league of legends, that description aptly applies to myself.

They've unjustly ignored their existing playerbase, but they've exclusively done it to niche minorities of the community so that the larger majority of the community wouldn't care at any single time... Granted I attribute this more as a side effect of the agile development cycle. But remember

First they came for the stat roles, and I did not speak out, because I didn't mind. Then they came for the mages, and I did not speak out, because I didn't mind. Then they came for the runes & masteries, and I did no speak out, because I didn't mind. Then they came for something I liked, and there was no one left playing that agreed with me.

Very much agree!! While I would love to have old malz back, this is not the right way to go about it. Really sets a bad image.

There's literally nothing about this that reflects the OG Malzahar.

Nothing balance or design wise. Yeah it makes me look like an asshole (i'm kinda playing the villain here), but anyone who thinks that this somehow reflects on the character is an idiot. Be that you, the guy under you, or any of the devs.

All that said, riot has been complacent with the rework and bent over backwords just to avoid reverting it, hints the change log for malzahar between summer 2016 and summer 2017. So I'm not inclined to simply idle by hoping that riot will get their shit together when they've put so many resources into defending their poor decision.

I'm not gonna play this stupid identity game. I understand that you don't like being associated with someone being intolerant, even if it's an unrelated common interest, I don't enjoy being an asshole to other players, but riot had made changes to appease such people. If they refuse to listen to years rational valid arguments and requests, then I'm compelled to behave in a way which evidently gets results.

Functionally: If the champion gets reverted, then I will not be an asshole. Simple.

Hell, I wouldn't want to get matched with me. I didn't even upvote my own post, that's how disappointed I am that I've got to ruin other people's experiences just to have any chance of riot actually getting their shit together in regards to this champion.

Or we could get together, create an open discussion on why we should revert Malzahar and how to fix some of the glaring issues with THAT kit. If it gets enough views, guarantee Riot sees it whether they respond or not.

What we shouldn't do is be assholes and get our accounts banned. This kind of behavior is what children do to get what they want right before their parents take away all their toys and put them in time out. In league that would be an account ban, so no thanks.

It will not gain any traction and it will die. Just as all of the other well argued posts have in the past 2 years.

No single large portion of the player base cares about malzahar to get enough attention to create a large enough discussion to get the dev's attention. Trust me.

I don't make this post for lack of posting, I make it in light of already exhausting the viability of that option. I've made it clear multiple times in the replies, that I don't like doing this kind of thing, it's honest not enjoyable for me to do this. Yet at this point it's necessary due to riot's silence.
