Turrets were changed long ago to allow classes other than ADC to reliably take turrets;why the nerf?

Doesn't add up to me. Turrets were changed PATCHESSS ago to allow Assassins, Mages, Tanks, the whole crew to more reliably take turrets - and the Baron buff is still left in place.

The regen doesn't justify the health nerf, IMO. Will the nerf merely be forgotten and overlooked later?

I just love the wording too: "We want to give defenders something to feel good about when they do hold off a push on their base, while also giving sieging teams meaningful milestones other than just "tower destroyed."

Oh you mean you want turrets to regen to some negligible hp so the seigers can go: welp easy kill next time. Cause as a defender if something gets to my base turret I basically go: its an act of god if we can keep this up much less defend any hp on it.

They wanted to give "milestones" whenever you bring a tower under a certain treshold. Which is funny, given turrets implode the second you think about pushing.

Maybe if there were two turrets instead of one at every point, they wouldn't need to actually buff them. Though that way they'll be slightly copying Heroes of the storm.

Because of LCS.

The reason is because even if you make it so that AP champions have an easier time taking turrets, it's still really difficult for melee champions to take them. Melee champions have to get into melee to hit turrets, it opens them up to all kinds of ganks and gap closers from other champions that ranged champions can see coming from further back and avoid.

Now that we are moving into a non-ADC meta, melee champs need to have an easier time taking towers and need to feel like they contributed something even if they are forced off it. Otherwise they'll overstay and trade their life to try and kill the tower...and then rage when it's got one hit left.

I actually like the concept itself. It gives a goal other than "Complete destruction" so you don't feel like you have to get it 100%.
