Regarding Deleted Threads

I've had it happen on a few occasions, and I doubt I'm the only one; I'll be discussing something in a thread, and then the thread gets deleted. It's not like I'm upset it went away, but it would be really nice if the forum could give a notification to say that the thread was deleted (possibly who did it and why). Maybe even leave a copy of what was said in an individual's personal post tracker, just in case they wrote something that they didn't think to save in a notepad, but would be helpful in the future, like a particularly long and complex set of mathematical equations that prove a point.
