Regarding Deleted Threads

I've had it happen on a few occasions, and I doubt I'm the only one; I'll be discussing something in a thread, and then the thread gets deleted. It's not like I'm upset it went away, but it would be really nice if the forum could give a notification to say that the thread was deleted (possibly who did it and why). Maybe even leave a copy of what was said in an individual's personal post tracker, just in case they wrote something that they didn't think to save in a notepad, but would be helpful in the future, like a particularly long and complex set of mathematical equations that prove a point.

If it's really important to you, just save a text file to your computer before posting it.

Seriously though, half of the time, I don't expect to need what I wrote again, but Murphy's Law basically dictates that anything lost in deleted threads is going to be needed again.

Couldn't agree more. It bothers me to no end that the current thread deletion mechanics have absolutely zero regard for the other people posting on a thread.
