As if being banned for 1-2 weeks isn't enough, only to hear 10 months later that you also get the same punishment as Elo boosters.
Here's what's going to happen now: People have even less reason to not be toxic now, as long as they know they're not toxic enough to be banned they're going to be more toxic than ever. Good job Lyte.

that wouldnt be very professor doctor astronaut like to just keep adding things or do the job right in the first place its better to just keep punishing someone for the same crime or even longer if they dont do what you say or be an actor

Related to Ranked Restrictions, we’ve determined that Ranked Rewards should reward positive sportsmanship just as much as they reward great play, so the most negative players who are Ranked or Chat Restricted at the end of the season will be ineligible to earn ranked end of season rewards such as the loading screen borders or Victorious Morgana champion skin.
Sounds like the policy is a continuation of the one established last year. Care to elaborate on how you're surprised?

The way they're going they're just creating more toxicity. Imagine getting these angry people in your ranked queues now. Think they'll care about winning or losing? Of course not.

The vast majority of the community hasn't been punished with chat restrictions, ranked restrictions, or bans this year. What are the stats for those that have been punished, something like 5%? If so, then the most negative 5% of the community doesn't get rewards, assuming they even get to Gold+ to begin with, which makes it more like the most negative 2.5%.

Tisk, tisk. Please, finish your homework before you make such rash accusations. Yes, I'm Silver 5, but with a mere 36 games under my belt it's because I don't play enough ranked to climb very fast. I'm about 170 ranked games behind you, so unless you stopped climbing 170 games ago it's illogical to assume I couldn't climb if I played more. The only thing in the universe I blame for holding me back is that I prefer to play with two of my friends at the same time, which confines me to Normals more often than not.
And before you jump to Win Rate, you should notice that I had quite the spectacular win rate killing experience when I started playing ranked this season. I think I got down to near 37% and still held my placement rank, it was pretty impressive.

I really fail to see how you figure there will be more toxic players. Those under Gold who don't qualify will mostly stop playing ranked, as they have nothing besides a title that they can't easily show off to gain for it. Those that do still qualify will be on their best behavior.
The only people who could possibly end up being more toxic are those that want to climb the ladder regardless of rewards and are already disqualified from the rewards. Even then, they'll get a chat restriction soon enough and the world goes on.

People who showed signs of improvement, but still had active chat restrictions when the season ended, still got rewards.
This time he says that even people with 5 chat restrictions (that's an equivalent of saying F word once in a bad or unclear context) won't get season rewards.
Personally? I have 14 games left, which wouldn't be a problem, except the fact that at this point I'm being restricted for saying "Hi".
When I asked for logs they pulled a game that was a month old. Like I lifted my previous restriction, played a full week uninterrupted joking with enemy team and being positive, then got a chat restriction out of nowhere for one bad word that was spoken in a context PERMITTED BY THE SUMMONERS CODE*!
* - Basically I said "fuck" after dying because of my own mistake.

Its like the justice system but way more corrupt all you have to do is be an actor and you dont get in trouble, but if it even loooooks like you are have a negative impact on annnnyyything at all you get sentenced 60 years in league jail and then half way into your sentence they add another sentence

So, players that got a Chat or Ranked Restriction during the season, but manage to reform and DO NOT HAVE active Chat or Ranked Restrictions by the season end cutoff will still get their Ranked Rewards. Players that still have active Chat or Ranked Restrictions by the season end cutoff will not be eligible.
