As an east coast player going from 100-120ish ping to 50ish

I didn't really see too much of a difference myself. All i could really judge differently were my autos being a bit more responsive and I cancelled them a lot before I got used to it. Other than that it seems relatively the same.

I think ping has more effect when you're at pro level. When your skills improve, they need more room to work with I guess.

But Server Location wouldn't be the only thing affecting your ping. The Quality of your internet may have an Affect. And in my case. My performance is still limited by the quality of the rig I use. (I kinda need a new computer)

I dont think your hardware has much of an effect, if any, on your connection. if there's any hardware that's affecting it, i'd imagine it'd be your router.

but i do agree with your first point. when you're a pro player and that tiny timing window is the window you need to hit and are used to hitting consistently, moving that window forward or backward by even 10 ms can cause you to miss it.

for some reason, we tend to notice negative changes more than positive ones. if you were a West Coast player and used to 50 ping, and that were to suddenly drop to 120, it probably wouldn't be game-breaking (like most of the West Coast Whiners are currently saying) but i'm sure i'm sure it'd at least be noticeable, even if by a tiny bit.

I have played at 20 ping, 120 ping and 60ish (current) and it makes a huge difference being that high. Last hitting, skills, dodging skills shots are much easier at low ping then high. If you played at 120 dodging a fast moving skill shot really was only with flash. At 20 you can do it with a basic sidestep and ample time to think ahead. Saying it is a "small" difference means you don't do those things well to begin with or you haven't played at low ping enough to understand.

That's basically the same thing I'm saying, only to a greater degree
