I really don't get why jungle is even a role nowadays.

Like it's so bad with playing catch up(to the rest of the team) that the jungler always falls behind. And ends up not ganking anyone and just clearing camps well beyond laning phase.

Anecdotally, the jungler in my games always ends up equal level to everyone except the toplaner at worst and 2-3 levels above everyone at best. OP is wrong they do not struggle to catch up.

Statistically, look at the best champions. It's all carry junglers. Why would you pick a high damage champion if you can't carry out of the role?

On top of that, with the strongest roaming/ganking potential, objective secure via smite, and being high damage champions they really are the best when it comes to securing leads by a long shot.

Because all the tank junglers have been hard gutted over and over again all season for LC$ and they got completely fucked for solo Q in patch 8.10.

Junglers literally have the second lowest damage share by role they're massively behind other carry roles, hell even mage supports typically dump on any Jungler not named Talyiah in Damage share and yet Junglers are still picking mostly carries. What does that tell you about the strength of the role? It tells me that the role is garbage.

Only partially true, it gets weaker the further you go from the top. So the lower elo are just as right when they say jungle is weak. This is because their teammates contribute less to the map. Farm junglers aren't as strong as a carry top that is winning and laners can penalize their junglers by playing poorly.

As demonstrated by the one for all mode, a significant amount of people have extremely low respect for the role in an almost equivalent matter to low skilled ADCs to support.

...its what that particular metagame is. It doesn't discount lower elo metas from existing. There's tier list that make different strengths per division of skill, so if it were completely existent why are people with more skill than you saying otherwise? Not everything low elo says is invalid, although 90% probably XD

Tier lists for low elo are centered around, "Your opponents will make mistakes. These champions punish these mistakes the best." You shouldn't be taking their advice and you shouldn't be saying they're correct when describing a low elo phenomenon.

When X is bad at low elo and good in high, it just means low elos aren't good enough to use it. It doesn't mean that it's bad. It's still very good. For example, Ryze is still the same strong champ (maybe not anymore after last patch) in low elo that he is at a Diamond level. It means that the players using it are bad and can't utilize it.

So when I say jungle is busted role it's not suddenly weak in low elo, it's just that nobody in low elo is playing the role correctly and their experience of the game shouldn't decide how Riot balances the jungle because otherwise jungle would be far more ridiculous than it already is.

That's actually one of the worst ways to describe the differences to the point of it being unskilled. It makes absolutely no sense at all that low elo would even know how to punish mistakes in the first place, so you don't really know what you're talking about. It isn't even a matter of being good enough, as plenty of low elos know how to execute their skills or how to beat a scrub at level one/two with a certain notorious champion. Yasuo

If something is truly busted it prevails regardless of circumstances, including utilizing things such as a champion used for a support like when you had relic shield vladimir pre-nerf.

Likewise, the meta is too feedy to have a jungler always carry in a high damage meta. You can't simply dominate the game just by hitting jungler button and being more skilled in the game.

Low elo is not about selecting champions that are good at punishing mistakes, but having champions that are difficult to counterplay with some capacity to carry. MasterYi Talon
