This season has completely gutted all AP carries and reduced them to glorified supports in the face of 9/10 games at Diamond+ being dominated by bruiser and AD picks.
This should have been addressed long ago, why isn't it being fixed?

That update is targeting immobile casters. Even mobile casters like Ahri have no impact on the game at Diamond+ right now, because they fall off so hard against bruisers and AD comps with Maw/Steraks.
It's not okay to completely invalidate an entire class of champions for 6 months.

To my knowledge they also plan on working on AP items a bit as well, though not as extensively as the marksmen item changes.
Riot needs to address some AD items right now though, they provide too much imho.
