Why does boards insist on the "conqueror makes tanks useless" narrative?

Do you even believe yourselfes, boards?

I see nothing but "tanks are completely dead, conqueror invalidades them".

Yet when we go to competitive (highest level of play) we see nothing but sion vs urgot top lane and a grand of maybe a single conqueror user going top, while theres atleast 1 or sometimes even 2 tanks per team.

Damn those conqueror bruisers gotta stop before tanks go extinct...Or maybe reality shows that its the other way around?

Urgot is not a tank.

Sion is the exception, not the average he only does well because he gets enough hp that conquerer doesn’t matter to him

Tanks are absolute garbage because black cleaver, last whisper, void staff, conquerer, insert arbitrary amount of pen here.

I never said urgot is a tank, but he builds like 5 tank items and not only that, but he smashes the so called "broken" conqueror users that can completely ignore any resistances and...

The truth is, not even conqueror is enough to make bruisers viable in the highest level of play, and tanks are for the most part still better than them, of course boards doesnt have the insight to see this though.

Last whisper was more effective against tanks last patch

Conqueror made it so the only fighters that go top lane are better with Tri instead

Void Staff has always been a thing

and flat pen (lethality) has never been strong against tanky champions.

So how I interpret what you're saying.

If what you are saying is true, and what the boards are saying is true. Then conqueror is shutting down tanks in low elo. You made a point to say that conqueror bruisers are almost nonexistent in high elo and so they are "going extinct." Well, remember that low elo is a majority of players in league! So if conqueror is broken to at least 50% of the playerbase then there is definitely a problem with it.
