Can we please do something about new champs in ranked?

I've had to dodge 3 games today because a team member banned an Akali somebody called. and a player got mad about it and went like ghost cleanse and threatened to run it down mid, etc -23 LP and 65 mintues downtime where I wanted to play because nobody wants to play with the new champion.

Could care less if people play new champion day one really, I just would rather not have to dodge because somebody got tilted minute zero. Every new release, it's not even worth playing ranked when new champs come out. Thanks.........
