Hey support mains, stop expecting praise for everything you do.

Just because you played janna and pressed e on the adc and got 5 assists doesn't mean your whole team should acknowledge your "play". Other players do not expect praise for anything they do.

But when the support saves your ass (in my case Thresh), they deserve some credit.

I still think there should be a way to see how much damage you shielded and if you are playing blitz or something you should be able to see how many hooks you landed

They're including this in the mid-season update I think.

No support main isn't expecting praise for everything they do, they just expect to be treated as an actual player in the game. Supports generally have the most toxicity towards them (Well..Idk Junglers might have them beat..but either way, it's still more than the other roles) and they honestly hardly get praised for things that they do. Rather ADCs generally gets all the praise when it comes to the bot lane and all they do is basically walk around and right click the enemy while the support actually does all the work with setting up kills and saving their ADC. It's probably why most people now just play Burst mages as supports.

It's a fucking game. It's dumb to keep arguing about this all the time. I'm a support/jungle main and I could not care any less than I currently about receiving praise for making plays. All I care about is seeing the enemy's nexus bust and watching them flame each other in the post game chat. Ok?

I never expect anything other than for me not to screw up my role. Why so mad, lad?

i play shaco support i drop boxes to block skill shots that would kill my allies, i jump in the way and take the skill shot in stealth then clone when they think im their new best kill target and make the clone run so they chase it and both me and my adc get out scot free as they use ults and summoners to kill my clone

i make junglers fear ganking my lane as shaco support because they end up in 3+ boxes and we get a kill or 2 our of it because of the box fear chains

i make the enemy die 2v3+ when they tower dive us with no kills gained from them because of predictive box placements

sure landing 1 hook as thresh or blits isnt amazing

but if they land a hook on a dashing enemy champion that saves your life, or save you from ur own stupidity by giving their life in a way that ends with you getting a double kill by just AAing, dont think YOU earned the kill and your support fed, he turned your mistake of getting caught out into an advantage for your team through outplaying with mechanics

i stopped playing traditional supports becuase people woudlnt recognize the janna R into a full charged janna Q that keeps the enemy assassin off of you and CCed for 3 seconds before he is even able to react. no 1 apreciated it so now i play a support that is fun AND you cant help but notice my outplays, my saves and my skill, because im playign something you THINK cant be a support and im recking with it

as a ps i can play relatively any support with success, but shaco is the most fun and most noiceable support to get praise for outplays out of all of them ive played

blocking skill shots left and right with boxes is very fun and fast actioned reactive/predictive paced play that i love it, predicting and even influencing enemy movemen with my boxes and fooling them into death traps is halarius, and the clone shananigans are epic. ive fooled entire teams to blow all their CDs on my clone (including ults) them my team goes in and cleans up.

beign a support and being good at it isnt determined by the champ you play, its all skill, reaction time and game knowledge

edit:the level or tilt and flame i cause the enemy team is also a huge bonus :D

Just out of curiosity, what rank do you play shaco sup? Like is it viable in higher elo or nah

Just out of curiosity, what rank do you play shaco sup? Like is it viable in higher elo or nah

i dont play ranked because my average ranked game out of about 50-70 games was having at least 2 of the 4 listed below on my team

extreme feeder (10 deaths by 20 min)

extreme troll (ap janna jungle anyone?...)

afk by 2 min in

or extremely toxic blames other for his/her mistake till the point it tilts my team

even so i got to gold withing my 1st 50 games of ever playing ranked, then decided it wasnt worth it due to the extra level of stress

the ~20 ranked games after that was playing with RLF and either letting them screw around in ranked while they were playing their drinking game (idk their rules i dont drink, but i think they did a shot every time they died) or helping them get a good placement on their placement matches

no i didnt play shaco in support but my normals games mmr is so high im normally playing with diamond/plats though i have been on a lossing streak the last few games, and if you watch the replays you can very easily see it wasnt my fault for the loss (game ends with a scroe of ~7 to 40 kills i have ~3 deaths and 50%+ kill participation and usually 80% objective participation excluding top tower and rift herald at times and constantly saving people with box placements, either from skill shot blocks or the CC they provide

shaco support can and does work, but it takes your team knowing how to use shaco boxes or you as shaco being good at predicting enemy AND ally pathing through out the game

im typically pritty good at getting the enemy pathing patterns down by the 1st 5 min, and i continue to watch and learn throught the game and justing my play as they adjust theirs

Hey marksmen mains, just because you did the most damage, doesn't mean you had the most impact.

JavelinJoe1 votes

How about we just all agree that you should praise anyone for doing a good job, regardless of their role on your team. If you must be negative, be so to the enemy team, not your own. Who knows, you may tilt them (the enemy team) in the process.

When I land every CC I have and use every active/summoner spell available to secure that pentakill for you AND make sure you get out alive, a little acknowledgement would be nice!

Instead:

Vayne Wow, this adc is a god!

Nami item 3070 item 3070

If I save your sorry ass, yes, you should be grateful and thank me.

You ungrateful s***.

To be fair, whenever someone saves me - either with heal or attaching or some ult, even if it's not support - I thank them. I think it's a good thing to do and shows you appreciate the effort and bond with your team.

If I save my carry 3 times from sure death, the least thing he can do is thank me.

We dont expect you to praise everything but certain setups/peel/plays you should praise.
