DId i just discover a hidden passive or am i looking at this wrong? (Rioter please respond.)

I was trying out twisted treeline in a custom match (all allies were bots and all enemies were bots.) I was playing Lux and one of my bot allies happened to be her brother, Garen.

He was about to die to a turret shot but he was way out of my shield range. I threw it anyway and figured, "its not gonna happen but i might as well try."

Now, keep in mind, Garen was like 300-400 units out of my shield range. Being a frequent lux player, i know that it usually travels a little farther than usual, but not by that much.

The wand (that grants shields) traveled ridiculously farther than the hitbox. I had never seen it fly this long before. It was maybe about 2/3 of luxs auto-attack range farther than it shouldve traveled. It hit and saved Garen.

Im figuring this is a hidden passive since Lux and Garen are sister and brother. Maybe im seeing things but im pretty sure it went much farther than it should have. Thoughts? Hopefully a Rioter can confirm whether im right or not.

It definently wasnt lag. And i dont know how to post replays (ive tried multiple times, trust me). If you can tell me how, i'll try (thatd be great!).

Open the reply file. Press record about 10 sec before it happens. Then about 5 seconds after stop the recording.

Then upload the Highlight to youtube (you can find the file by opening the file browser in the highlights tab of your client) And then drag it into the upload box

EDIT: once uploaded you can copy paste the Youtube link into your post by hitting edit post

Save the clip and upload to YouTube then post youtube link

But I usually play with 30 ping and yesterday I got hit by a xerath stun that was way away on my screen. I watched the replay and it hitting was still questionable, but i was closer than what appeared on my screen during game.
