So the meta is still the same then, you just don't have to be the fastest to hit ctrl-V if you want something specific anymore. That's good. I noticed they limited your mastery points in each tier. All of my item sets are gone so I suppose I'll have to spend a stupid amount of time figuring that out again.

There are patch notes you could read, matches you could play, and posts you could search for that would get you a far more detailed answer than anyone will be able to get you here.

Plus you would be able to mostly ignore the bias everyone already has.
