The usual Yasuo complaints, but not really?

I love Yasuo as a champion. He combines a lot of my favorite themes together using the katana style blade, harnessing wind element, redemption mission, cool stuff.

That being said, as a game character, there are some things I do NOT like about his kit:

The Double Crit Passive: Ok, so, here is where the "not really" part comes in, as my complaint about this passive is not that its overpowered or anything like that. What I don't like about this passive is the same as the next thing I dont like. Why don't I just go ahead and name that:

Q cooldown scaling with attack speed: What these two things do to Yasuo as a champion is limit him when it comes to viable builds. Yasuo is balanced around these things, so he is locked in to building X amount of attack speed and two crit items.

As someone who enjoys the samurai/ronin Katana wielding high speed slashing fantasy, I think it would be fun/cool if Yas could choose to go for the "one cut one kill" mentality. Dashes around, dodging abilities, then goes in for the one decisive blow XD. Building like this of course really hurts Yasuo's performance on the whole. The option not being there is kind of lame imho.

What if instead of the double crit passive, you just made the his wind shield more thematic? not suggesting anything in particular, but make the shield a proper passive and lose double crit/reduced crit damage?

What if Q had a Skarner esq passive where it had its CD reduced per auto attack? Q spam would mean he is in combat and limit his ability to poke with it somewhat, but not completely. Better windows, no?

Next up:

Windwall: The only thing I don't like about this ability is that it is situationally SUPER strong, but only vs ranged, and completely useless otherwise. Now, I understand it is balanced that way, and Im certainly not suggesting it have vs melee benefits without changing anything XDXD Im not that silly.

But there is a lot you could do with this skill in general. Example, Yasuo slashes in a target direction, parrying incoming damage. If he blocks an attack from an enemy champion, the energy is reflected back in the form of a wall of wind. Now the wall has a more specific cost in the form of timing, but is also useful in melee matches as well.

Now, its possible it would need some other kind of change as well, since its effectively the same skill vs ranged champions IF he actually blocks something. But maybe that would be fair enough? I dunno.

All that being said, I don't personally think Yasuo is broken, and I don't think he NEEDS any changes, but there are some of my thoughts on what is wrong with his kit.

Feel free to discuss :)
