IMO Yorick needs to be decoupled from Triforce to see meaningful buffs, just like every top lane bruiser.

High elo Yorick mains want the Yorick nerfs reverted, he's a shit champion.

Oh my bad, I see a lot of posts where people give low elo players backlash on balance when I see quite a few of them making pretty valid points.

"but most of the players are in iron, bronze and silver. its not the fault of the people who cant throw the dart, its riots fault for not putting the target where they throw it."

is effectively one of the most common answers.

yorick should have never been nerfed just because low mmr doesnt know how to attack move on his ghouls.

I'm Plat 3, so technically not high elo, but I see alot of arrogant people putting legitimate balance issues under the rug until an LCS player mentions it, it doesn't take an LCS player to know Akali and Irelia are problematic, we are aware, it doesn't take an LCS player to know smite mid and Master Yi funneling with Taric mid was an issue.

im not talking about pro play. the way organized teams play the game is entirely different from how us regular folks are playing. the largest difference being the communication barrier.

but we cant and shouldnt balance the game around the lowest divisions in solo que. thats exactly what happened with the yorick nerf and to some extent with garens nerf.

garen was strong into plat and fine around diamond and upwards. though most of this was also because the meta heavily favoured him at the time.

i dont think either of the champions should have been nerfed.

IMO, we should balance some thing around low elo, but do it in a way that wouldn't effect the higher divisions, obviously easier said than done, but you can't ignore like 70% of your player base, they deserve to enjoy the game too.

there are better approaches than to balance for low mmr.

one of them would be to give them better learning tools how to deal with those matchups. like videos similar to champion spotlights that teach new players how to play against champions, and not just how to play them yourself.

there should be videos like this for every champion, and available in client or on riots homepage that explain champion strengths and weaknesses in detail.

maybe even videos on general game strategies like wave management and minion control.

if you just nerf a champion for low mmr, then the players have learned nothing and still dont know how to deal with those champions. this alone often makes these nerfs for low mmr entirely ineffective.

if someone doesnt understand how to play against a certain champion at all, or doesnt have learned basic game mechanics, he will probably still keep losing to that champion.
