Why can't NA have 2 servers?

One west, one east. You can pick which server to play on right after you log in. West gets good ping, East gets good ping, Central gets acceptable ping, no need to make a new account or to port it over. Profit? I swear almost every mainstream game has this (WoW, DOTA 2, CSGO, etc) Plus you wont have pro players angry that they have 60 ping instead of the 10 they had before with this upcoming server move.

I think their original argument to this idea is that it would splinter the NA population. Thusly having longer queue times and what not. Also due to Riot's piss poor architecture they can't allow you to play both NA west/east with one account (of course this is all things everyother less profitable game has implemented).

While they claim 67million monthly users, i wonder how many of those are NA...I would take the longer queue times if it meant better/stable ping for all. I mean dota only has 12million monthly (globally) and queue times are well bellow 5minutes and i can queue for west or east (with friends that moved away).

This is true it would be better for everybody instead of screwing half of the states.

It'd be great for the players and Riot would get less hate. :3 c'mon Riot.
