Braum and support buffs

While i can understand Braum is not in a really good spot at the moment and i agree he needs buffs...he is certanly not alone, he has anyways been picked way more than Sona, Soraka and Zyra have ever been in S5 (Zyra has never ever been picked in fact).

His soloQ winrate is really not atrocious either, so why not buff Sona, Soraka and Zyra along with Braum?

Zyra is a strong midlaner so any buff to her support will buff her midlaning capability too. Sona is hard to balance since she is so easy to play and Riot hates healers so Soraka won't get buffed no matter what.

what i'm pointing out is that Braum had a period when he was not pick/banned in competitive play, so they buff him, that's perfect, but they keep ignoring other non-picked non-banned supports

and no Zyra really sucks midlane lol, and Sona is really not hard to balance...have you ever played in S3? She was not the strongest support but she wasn't as bad as she is now

No,she's terrible at both.

Sona is hard to balance since she is so easy to play

A bit,but not too much.

She really is obnoxious, she's not even that weak either, definitely stronger than both sona and zyra.

I don't think that he's weak as much as it is that he doesn't fit into the current LCS meta. In soloQ I think he's still a rather good pick, as are Soraka and Sona. I will, however, agree that Zyra definitely needs some adjustments to make her a better pick. She's not that good anywhere but in ARAM.

As much as i love Sona, since i play her Mage before support, if you buff her more than slightly, it'll make my life too easy. I say just give her more health/mana per level or something, but don't try to buff her Powerchord or her Q. She deals enough as-is.

I made a post quite a while back when they were nerfing her damage about this subject. Since Riot seems to want her in no role other than support, I suggested either lowering the mana cost on her W or increasing the heal effect. Another change I was thinking of is buffing her passive W and E. As a Sona main since early season 4, even I feel that the extra damage of passive Q is better in bot lane than slowing the enemy adc or reducing their damage output. She has quite a bit of utility, but the problem is that the possibility of sending the enemy carry from 100% to 30% is much more appetizing than slowing them.

But to be honest, I have played nothing but sona recently (for the champion mastery) And I really don't think that she needs a buff to anything or a nerf.

Her main problem is her early game where she is squishy as hell, but I found that it can be easily fixed by sacrificing the early gold and starting with a ruby crystal. This allows me to poke without getting half hit by a couple of auto attacks.

TL;DR Sona does not need a buff or a nerf. If you think she needs a nerf, learn to play against her. I see too many games where the enemy adc ignores me in the early game and they end up hugging tower. She's squishy as hell, just hit her a couple of times and you've pretty much won. If you think she needs a buff, learn to play her, she's easy to understand, but to actually master her is more of a mentality rather than mechanical skill.

Well i wouldn't sacrifice sweet, sweet gold for health, but i do very much see your point, and it is very valid, and assuming you play her support and are going to get a Sightstone, then it's actually a pretty good idea. The catch here is that item 1028 costs exactly one more potion than the item 3303, so assuming you don't get bursted (which can totally happen), the health values are the same early on, and you actually get more if the potion is a cookie.

The reason why Powerchord Q feels better than the W and E ones, is mostly because of conveniencem and execution speed, i think. If you're going to poke, you might as well deal the whole thing and take the Q's autoattack extra damage on too, however as one playing AP Sona, i've found out that unless you're actually going for a kill, or know you're poking safely, W and E Powerchords are actually a lot better because of the scaling on them. By endgame, W scales to 35% damage reduction, and E to 55% slow, plus the Powerchord damage, in exchange for 40% less BONUS POWERCHORD damage only. You still get Lich's, the base Powerchord, and potentially Q extra damage if you hit it first but delayed your AA until you cast something else, or set up your combo right. If nothing else, you can really screw over a Zed ult with that.

It's insanely tricky on the mind, but i've been working towards getting to use the right Powerchords for every situation.

Good for you then?

Not enough to even scratch the tank supports.

If you found some off build which works wonder for you then great, you deserve to be rewarded for risks/innovation,if it becomes oppressive it can be dealt with(but I highly doubt that),this really is no reason not to buff a champion.

I mean take lulu for example, they weren't afraid of buffing her mana regen even though she already saw competitive play in other lanes, which isn't something sona is doing, this really is not a good argument.
