I still maintain the theory our Timelord has just regenerated and became Ekko! :P And because he´s the ruler of Time it selfe he has no problem existing twice in one Game without destoying the Universe. xD

It's because Zilean has the wisdom and experience to know when to use his magic, and the foresight to avoid it. Ekko is just a kid who's playing with his new toy.

Zilean - Rewinds time to bring himself back to life free from injury.

Ekko - Rewinds time to try to counter the injury he already sustained and still retains the damage from the initial blow.

Pretty clear who the superior time mage is here. On a side not, Riot needs to increase the area for those bombs to stick.
