B.F. Sword and Needlessly Large Rod Build Paths

With the other big items getting pre-items that build into them B.F. Sword (and Pickaxe) and Needlessly Large Rod (and Blasting Wand) can have the lower tier be a part of their build to smooth their builds out, all item will be unchanged in stats and gold cost.

Examples (and actual) will be: Long Sword (360g) + 515g = 875 = Pickaxe Pickaxe (875g) + 675g = 1550g = B.F. Sword

Amplifying Tome (435g) + 425g = 860g = Blasting Wand Blasting Wand (860g) + 740g = 1600g = Needlessly Large Rod

Just think this would be a cool idea to allow for smoother transitions to the completed big item, allow for interesting early game starts and build paths to your completed items. ~ Stacona

No I think that they are good with how they are. They help accent a power spike, an advantage, and they provide counter play. How do they cause counter play you ask? More than likely, if someone buys this early game, then they wont be able to afford anything else. for example, a veigar who got an early kill and backed later than normal might pick up a large rod, but he wont have boots, potions, or anything else. All he will have is raw damage. Same for Adcs or maybe top laners. It causes you to choose between damage or utility.

you still have the same advantage and the gold cost is the same, everything you are saying is not legit- large rode is 1600g, if you only have 1600g and want power then you cant get boots and potions too - if you get a blasting wand and boots and wards and potions you decided not to have power at that moment but other features---- the build paths makes the game slightly less snowbally, but the first one with bf sword and large rod still has a super huge advantage

Changing the buildpath actually makes the game more snowbally; now ahead people could build 6 long swords and upgrade them into their items or higher components any time, as oppossed to having to actually save up 1550 gold for a power spike.

no it doesn't the most efficient gold to ad ratio is a BF sword, not to mention it only uses one slot--- 5 long swords is a 'poor man's build' something you do when behind, when ahead you always go for the BF sword anyways because large rod and bf sword are the most gold efficient items and then you will complete those items into whatever you wanted to build from them - so waiting in lane for 1550g will be the most efficient time since you get your bf sword from one back, where as someone who is behind has to go back multiple times losing out on gold and exp --- so the build system helps the player behind slightly, but the one ahead is still ahead just not monstrously ahead
