This used to be a bit of a meme, but I'm starting to become fully convinced..

Riot's given up.

I know, I'm one of those. One year ago, this was just come crackpot conspiracy theory that everyone, including me, scoffed at. But as I play and witness what Riot's doing, it's becoming harder and harder not to believe this.

I'll start off with the reason I think that this is viable. Riot knows that League of Legends is one of the biggest PC games in history. Riot also knows that, since the game used to be good, a good chunk of those people are actually addicted to the game. So they know that no matter what they do or what state the game is in, they will still have a massive playerbase, and keep on making stupid amounts of money.

Take Mordekaiser for example. He's been overbearing literally since his rework's release. I've been praying for nerfs for him for months, and I see that there's finally a change for him on PBE.. I look at it anddddd.. it's a buff. Albeit, a fairly minor buff, but why the fuck are you buffing him? This, for me, makes it look like Riot takes their game as a joke.

Not to mention Worlds and Skin buffs. Skin buffs have gotten insanely out of hand. Pyke is the most blatant example of this.

NEW EFFECT: Now deals 50% reduced damage to enemies who aren't executed. NEW EFFECT: Now gains 'Your Cut' item 'Your Cut' upon killing an enemy with Death from Below. NEW EFFECT: Now instead gains 2 stacks of 'Your Cut' item 'Your Cut' if an ally kills an enemy while inside the X. NEW EFFECT: Death from Below's icon is now shown on Pyke's health bar while it can be cast for free.

These buffs were massive, and they were put on a champ who was strong to begin with. Pros knew it was crazy, casual players knew it was crazy, literally everyone knew that these buffs would break the champion. Coincidentally, these buffs were put out July 18th, and PROJECT: Pyke was released on August 1st. It's fine that Riot wants money, after all, game developing is a business, but Pyke was super popular beforehand, and they still haven't reverted it yet, over a month later. WHAT?

I'd go through the World's buffs such as Orianna, Lee Sin, whatever. Making certain champions completely busted for World's is completely expected. Not good or fair, but expected.

One more champion I'd like to talk about is Kai'Sa. The champion who has pretty much been one of the most dominant ADC's since her release.

Kai'Sa was released on March 7th, 2018. This is 556 days ago. I honestly cannot remember a single patch where Kai'Sa was weak since her release. I didn't watch it, but Exil recently made a video on why Kai'Sa is the most overloaded champion in League of Legends history, and I'm inclined to believe that.

I just wish Riot would stop being a bunch of dicks and actually try. Even if not for us, do it for your super talented skin/art teams who are for some reason spending their insane talent on your shitty game.
