Note: The start of season is a time to earn your rank on the ladder. You will be placed lower than where you ended the 2016 season, as a ladder reset means the highest possible rank anyone can land after placement games is Platinum I, which moves all of the ranks down.

Meaning whatever you ended up in 2016, you will be a tier lower in the next Ranked Season. I, along a ton of other people hate this concept because who wants to climb a tier up just to be where you originally stopped? Regardless, I wanted to tell people this ahead of time because I know when Season 7 begins, people will make threads about why they dropped from Gold 5 to Silver 5 or even Bronze I.

This happens every single year, it's not news. It's to make sure people deserve their rank and don't just do their placements every year for a free skin or border

Also, gonna help clear out all the people who boosted to their rank this year. I'm actually glad its happening.

True enough, I just hate being put a tier back because climbing sucked for me (at first). Now that i've gained a lot of experience and know what works / doesn't work, I will probably have an easier time in Season 7 but that'll be based on how I do entirely. Wishing the best of luck to those who work for their rank and not those who pay to climb.
