You placed only 12 wards in 30 mins. Your mid laner placed 12 too and he doesnt have Sightstone. Enemy support placed 19. You should have placed at least 22-24. You didnt upgrade to item 3401 for 4 charges and maximum gold gain putting yourself behind, instead u bought item 3742 . You actually kept item 3340 instead of upgrading to item 3341 so you didnt clear ANY enemy wards (except 1 pink). You didnt buy any pink wards (your ADC did).

Basically your performance was average.

You want S? Place more wards, buy more pink wards ( should have placed 4-5 at least), buy sweeper and clear enemy wards, get item 3107 item 3190 to shield/heal your allies, fully upgrade your gold generating item to generate more gold (you only generated 1k more gold than enemy support and u have far more assists than him, 2 more turrets than him and gold from baron and 25 more CS than him). So you can see how far behind you are in gold generation.

Is there any where where they tell you that these things factor into your score and excatly how they affect it?

No, because they don't want people just shooting for that minimum, but it is a lot more than just KDA. I always laugh at the people who only post their KDA then complain, because you know they're ignoring another part of the game.

But...why even have a grading system in the first place? It's like doing your homework, turning it in, but you teacher awards you little points because you got a lot of the questions wrongs, however they never tell you what you got wrong so you can't improve.

If Riot made a list of what affects your score and how then it would give me a nice way to improve my skills.

Champion Mastery score was never intended to be a teacher, only an evaluation. You aren't allowed to see what questions you got wrong on standardized test, only your score. The same concept applies here. If you're shooting for one of the best scores, you've got to perform at one of the best levels you can.

You should be able to look at your own performance and know what you need to improve. Are you harassing enemies enough? Is enough of your CC landing? How good are your ward placements? How effective are you at removing enemy wards? Are you keeping your ADC alive? Are you willing to throw yourself in harms way to keep carries from going down in a crucial fight?

If you're actually looking to improve, you'll manage to get S scores sooner or later. You don't need the grade to tell you what to improve on.

this... one of the reasons getting a item 2049 is SOO vital is so can get item 3364 to remove their vision.

not to mention.. you didnt complete your sightstone until 18 min... EIGHTEEN!!! you should have it before 10 min... 8 or 9 min is normal. and sooner if u get kills and assist. you only placed 1 item 2055 which i highly doubt lasted 20+ min and like the post i quating said .. you didn't upgrade to item 3401

you also have over TWICE the amount of CS the enemy support who DID upgrade to item 3401 does..

i mean i didnt watch the game... but you need to stop juding a game only by the KDA. thats ISN'T what matters most... and frankly. i think the only reason you even GOT an A- was because of your KDA

He basically wasted gold on item 2049 . In 30 min u can place 14-15 wards with item 3340 . His mid laner placed same amount as he did with just trinket. So thats 800g gone to waste.

0/0/17 as Tahm Kench earlier this evening...B+! I get that my warding was pathetic that game, but we were controlling the map so hard that wards were pretty much useless because we pushed so hard. I really couldn't have done any better than I did.

This. A lot of people emphasize that warding is important (which i agree with) but occasionally there is really no reason to. As a support you don't want to leave your team when they need you, you also want to ward as much as possible. Problem is that your sightstone only has 3 stacks (or 4 if you go for ruby). Once gone, they never come back. This means that often you are caught following around your team pushing lanes or trying to start a fight and you don't have wards. Other times you might be pushing or starting a fight and you don't want to ward because you know where the enemy is and you don't want to waste it.

I would love to have a new sightstone item that only has 2 charges, but the charges refresh after like, 80 seconds or something. Something so that when you run out of wards you don't have this awkward moment of asking "do I stay with team to provide support cause Im at 80% health with about 50% mana or do I back to get more wards?"
