@Riot: Turret Nerfs did nothing to help split push.

Riot, Right now, we see the meta is teamfighting 5 man deathballs. Inhib and nexus turrets were one of the few safe zones against those comps because of how they worked. Now, because of the changes, Nexus and INhib turrets are next to useless for defending. Split pushers have always been ruined by the tanky top TP meta. Turret power has not affected split pushing. Summoner spells and itemization changes are what affect the meta most.

Think about the times that Split pushers were strongest, it was when TP was at it's weakest. Now, TP is at it's strongest, and is dominating the meta. Why take a split pusher, when the enemy top laner has TP, can TP to a fight, cause a 4v5 figh around an objective, then they can 5 man push faster than the split pusher can.

In order for split pushing to become a true meta decision again, you'd need to nerf TP. Split pushing duelists aren't popular right now because of how top lane works right now. If TP ever get's nerfed, and cross map objective control becomes harder to maintain, then champs like Tryn, Aatrox, Shen and others will become really popular again. The problem is NOT turrets. Turret changes have never affected split pushing outside of needing minions to make towers weaker.

Making the inhib and nexus towers weaker just means that once a team has an advantage, they can dive and teamfight under tower in the base and then waltz out of tower range, take the tower, then go back and take tower.

TL;DR If Riot wanted to really help split push, they would've nerfed TP, not towers.
