Hextech Question
In regards to the new Mastery Rank 6 and 7, what exactly is a Champion Permanent as opposed to a Champion Shard?

Why was this down voted? This is a legitimate question.
Champion shard are basically what you get when you actually unlock a chest through Hextech. A Champion Permanent is basically what happens when you reroll 3 champions shards together. But if you own all the champions (or the champion that gets reroll) it stays in your inventory since you cannot unlock a champion you already own.

actually you can. you dont have to reroll. you can upgrade a shard to a champion permanent when you already own the champion. it will be added with a golden border or something to your hextech crafting stuff instead of... well, unlocking the champion.
ive seen someone do it out of curiosity.
so people if you rerolled champions to get permanents, while you already own all champions. you basically wasted a lot of shards.
Ok, thank you, that's what I wanted to know. I hadn't bumped into a Champ Permanent yet, and couldn't find anything listed under Hextech crafting, so I was a little perplexed.
