There are too many reports and categories of reports. So often games end with 10 people all reporting each other for all different things. This system results in automated complex matrix's that wade through thousands of reports to determine the truth from the nonsense.

**The result is that the only effective corrective action is against verbally abusive players. ** Those who troll games through feeding, throwing, not helping in teamfights, etc. are often unpunished.

A better system would be that at the end of game screen, a player can start a vote to report someone, and it only goes through if i gets a majority vote (Obviously players that queued together are unable to participate in each others voting). This way, if someone just wants to false report, it never passes and doesn't matter.

We could then escalate actual reports quicker and easier. If an entire team thought you were a detriment by refusing to join fights, we could immediately see that, and issue warnings or punishments accordingly.

Honestly though, we are getting harsher and harsher with penalties and reports but it still only effectively addresses verbal abuse and doesn't catch actual trolls.

I'm curious, how do you know trollers and intentional feeders are not punished?

Also, my guess is with your systems barely any reports would go through, seeing as half the players just leave the post game screen immediately for the next ranked game.

Riot has stated that if you often report players the value of your reports are lowered but if you only report say once every 10 games your report has a high value and will more frequently result in a punishment. Players who say "Report my team" after every game, those reports have no value and nothing will happen, but me myself, i report maybe once every 20 games, only in extreme cases so according to Riot my reports should hold some significance.

Riot is doing a good job.

I occasionally check on trolls to see if they ever got banned and have yet to see one be banned.

Obviously the system would be implemented in such a way so that you had to vote at the end before leaving lobby. Currently a person can try to lose every game on purpose and receive no punishment despite their team knowing exactly what they are doing.

Problem: When the game ends, most people just zip out. What majority vote is gonna happen if everyone's gone?

What REALLY should happen is that Rito should allow us to make champ select less of a pain. Either give us a free dodge that doesn't take an lp tax or allow us to cut the match-making if someone's clearly showing signs of being a bad teammate (by majority vote or something) with a punishment inflicted on the one voted against. Something like that would be way easier to implement.
