How accurate are my tips? I just gave them to a bronze player.

  • Improve your last hits, if you don't have 100 cs by 10 minutes you won't climb out of bronze
  • Recall when necessary, when is it necessary? When you are at half health or out of mana
  • Play viable champions, not trash like mordekaiser, ashe, and urgot.
  • Don't play support, you can't climb out of bronze or silver with support no matter what people might say. It's just not possible when you're duo'ing with a terrible adc.
  • Ward, ward, ward. Early game, middle game, late game. 10% of your playtime time should be dedicated to warding.
  • Do your best not to die because it means 3 things. You grant the enemy 300 gold and experiences, plus you miss out on a lot of potential CS.
  • Consider getting a boot of mobility. It has a +130 movement speed when you exit combat, making it great for escaping and returning to your lane to nab that CS.

You don't need 100 cs by 10 to climb out of bronze, but it helps a lot.

Play viable champions, not trash like mordekaiser, ashe, and urgot.

Ashe is good in bronze because she's one of the few ADCs that let you start a team fight, counter engage, and brings CC to the table so you aren't completely useless when you fall behind.

Also, any champ will work, but those with a high barrier to entry are a mistake.

Don't play support, you can't climb out of bronze or silver with support no matter what people might say.

This is BS.

Ward, ward, ward. Early game, middle game, late game. 10% of your playtime time should be dedicated to warding.

This is okay, but warding is useless if you don't learn to keep checking the map first.

Do your best not to die

This is a good idea at any elo

Consider getting a boot of mobility.

Meh. Some champs work with mobis, others not so much.

Ashe is a good support in low ELO.

Lol. Sure if the player is great, but I wouldn't recommend her.

Yes! This is the approval I've been looking for!

Meant ADC, not support.

Ashe is hardly terrible. 48% isn't great, but it's still viable.

Anything works in bronze, including morde(who is used in challenger) Ashe( who is used in lcs) and urgot(who is actually decent if you know how to play him)

Yes, anything "can" work in bronze but it usually doesn't. The champions I mention require a high skill cap to be played effectively!

"if you don't have 100 cs by 10 minutes you won't climb out of bronze" This is really not true. 10 cs per minute is quite difficult to do.

Linna Excel1 votes

It's closer to 12 cs per minute because the first wave doesn't show up until around the 1:30 mark.

Ashe is pretty good for people good at late game, especially if you duo with a support. Idk about the other two.

I have carried games with adc's that were performing poorly, and I have had supports carry me when I was doing poorly. If anything I think support both has a chance to carry, and a chance to help an ally carry.

Tell that to a Caitlyn ADC in bot, who was auto attacking minions!

I mean, I have carried adc's who were dead, so I can't imagine that being too difficult.

Did they get a heart attack or something :P?

The way I play adc sometimes, I imagine my team thinks I am having one at the time XD

Ashe isn't trash.

Support mains have climbed out of low elo before (they can't all be lying come on now)

If feel like the 100 cs or you'll never get out of bronze is an exaggeration but I'm but a worthless bronze player so...(my cs is fine when I do lane not sure about 100 @ 10 tho.)

Yes 100 cs is an exaggeration but it has to be to sound important and close to its range.

  1. Being at half health doesnt always equate having to recall, as long as you can play safe you can heal back up and you dont get behind in levels
  2. Support is not the easiest role to carey with, but if you desicate yourself to a small pool of supports I have seen god tier supports win the gane for their trash tier team by force feeding them and providing invaluable utility.

If your champion has sustain, by all means, carry on, but if he doesn't you are taking an unnecessary risk! Can you say with one hundred percent certainty, "I won't be ganked, no you most certainly can't!" Would you rather spend 7 seconds recalling or 40 seconds respawning! There are also times when you are almost out of mana as well when you are at half health.

I'm actually pretty impressed to see teammates (in high plat/low diamond) have 100 cs at 10 min, and really I figure 5cs/min is probably 'good enough' to get out of bronze. It's not good by any means, but in bronze land theres probably bigger problems.

I also personally climbed as a solo only support player. bronze->silver did have some adc mixed in, but silver+ was pretty much exclusively as support (and mostly janna at that, not one of those ap carry mage 'supports').

Do not recommend boots of mobility for anything except roaming supports. Maybe a couple roaming assassin types (e.g. talon) can get away with it too, but for non-supports you're going to be in combat most of the the time and need to be able to kite (not to mention the stats other boots provide).

100 cs by 10 minutes is LCS tier. Only 114 cs spawns by then, and top and mid's final wave is delayed by 15 seconds or so compared to mid.

Recalling is dependent on the wave, the champion you're playing, and the enemy champion. If the wave is pushed to your turret and the enemy champion cannot dive you, get the cs, then recall.

Viable champions is indeed a way to speed up your elo gain. However, playing the champion that feels the best to you is more likely to let you rise.

Yeah not playing support is a good idea.

10% of playtime is an exaggeration, because there simply aren't that many wards. You just need to roam, and remember to drop wards while roaming. Warding chokepoints of the jungle is a great way to ward.

Death is correct, though dying for an inhib turret/inhib/dragon/baron is usually worth it.

Boots of mobility is underrated, and a really nice. Probably shouldn't be kept past early game, however.

I climbed out of Bronze without getting 100 CS in 10 minutes.

Some champs are definitely easier to climb with than others but it depends on the players too. I climbed out using Amumu and Rammus at a time when they weren't considered meta but it worked out well.

Excuse me? who are you to judge who a person should play to climb, the best way to play what you fucking enjoy

Morde ashe aren't even trash, urgot is in a funny spot but by no means exceptionally trash.

That's the worst advice you can tell someone, is to be a sheep. you're hindering yourself and temates more than others because you're playing whats strong, not what_You; yourself are good at_

  1. CS'ing is important. 100 cs by 100 minutes is nearly impossible, you won't see master-diamond players getting that consistently. 80-90 yes, 100 no.
  2. No, just, no. Recall whenever you have the time to. A good example is when the enemy recalls, push the wave into their tower and recall to buy. You **do not ** want to stay in lane down 1k gold in items. If you push the wave out, you won't lose much cs. You'll be able to match their items and gain a CS lead, because they will have lost the CS you shoved under tower. Also, recall when the enemy has high kill pressure on you or if you're oom, but this is not ideal. Getting your jungler to hold your lane is not a bad idea under those circumstances.
  3. No, play easy champions. Trash tier is not ideal, but it can work.
  4. You probably can.
  5. 10% of your playtime is a bit much... know when to ward, so you don't lose gold and experience or so you aren't out of position.
  6. Depends on circumstances, but generally, yes.
  7. It's shit for escaping, never get it for that, because it takes ~5 seconds to leave combat, and if you've been out of combat for 5 seconds I'd say you've already escaped. It's only helpful when roaming, because you should not be missing that much CS when you recall anyway, if you've managed the wave correctly.
