Riot learn from the past and make season 7 the best one ever
Latest champs
Too soon to judge. His ult and snowball potential seem pretty strong though
The Azir syndrome. Probably best left overnerfed until small rework
Simple design. Strong but not OP.
I believe his kit is not broken since he is an immobile adc however his numbers and especially his ult just gives him too much utility and damage
Hard to judge. Seems to be OP in lower eelo but doesn't see much play elsewhere.
Broken champ. Dominated jungle since their release until they got overnerfed
Broken champ.
Broken champ. In need for rework
Cool and truly unique design
Overnerfed because her kit is simply a junglers wet dream. Failed concept too OP
Broken champ. In need for rework
Broken champ. In need for rework
Overloaded champ who can dominate and make every melee toplaner obsolete
Included Yasuo because he has been problematic since his release and most favorite champ to ban each time he becomes viable. Broken champ in need for rework
Not counting Kled: 4/13 new champs have been proven to be a healthy and fun addition to the game. 9/13 are mostly considered cancer by the community and have been very troublesome to deal with hence they have been nerfed several times over and over again to be left in limbo until some sort of rework or other small changes to the champ have been made.
Reworks
I guess we finally reached a pointed in which she can be considered balanced. Her kit is
Nerfs after nerfs after nerfs have left people wandering when his next rework will be
Nerfs after nerfs after nerfs have left people wandering when his next rework will be
Obnoxious champ to deal with in toplane and jungle. Very unfun to play against.
Nerfs after nerfs after nerfs have left people wandering when his next rework will be. Maybe Riot should just drop his concept because any draintank is most probably unhealthy for the game
Nerfs after nerfs after nerfs have left people wandering when his next rework will be. Lost is identity and Is a shadow of his former self
Good rework. Probably needs some small buffs to his numbers or casting time.
As a former Taric main I don't like his rework and the fact he has not been picked at Worlds confirms he is not even near in powerlevel to other supports as many people claim. Yet many (lower eelo players) enjoy the new Taric so I guess his rework has been a success at some degree.
IMO by far the best rework and the best new champ.
4/9 last reworks can be considered as healthy for the game.
If we count them together only 8/22 (36%) champs have been a succes. That means 64% of the new champs and reworks have been a huge failure in concept and design. They have been spammed in LCS, ruined many ranked and normal games until they got bashed by the nerfhammer. However some still see regular play and are still being watched closely.
As for items goes do people remember: Runeglaive Sated Devourer old Rageblade
These 3 items ruined most part of season 5 and 6 and it took way to long for Riot to remove their babies especially for Sated Devourer.
How I mostly remember season 6:
A lot of unpopular top-down decisions were introduced. The loss of a lot of diversity in mastery pages to get replaced by powercreep called Keystones. Turrets got turned into paper and death timers got elevated. Almost every AP item got a price increase, every MR item got buffed and AD items for buffed. During preseason we had league of criticals proceeded by league of thunderstorm and fervor. Meanwhile Sated+Rageblade junglers were running rampant and for half a year we saw 2-3 adc's per team. Tankekko succeeding whole season, release of Tahm, Kindred. Then we got Gangplank, Graves, new Malzahar soloing drakes and barons. Introduction of new problematic item
. Literally everyone saw it coming how Duskblade would be abused by adc's. New Last whispers upgrades makes you buying armor a complete waste of money and you don't want to build HP either hence further encouraging damagecreep. PD's 12% damage reduction has only made obnoxious playstyles like Tankyasuo and TankGraves viable. Prevented deadth counts of 10+ are common and it is therefor the best defensive item in the game since no item gives you any sort of counter. Almost every significant change made by Riot's balance and gameplay team has been either reverted or changed significantly. Every 2 weeks the newest patch would turn the meta upside-down. Just to many changes in short time periods made everything you learned during that patch obsolete. The new OP picks of the week got replaced by the next.
**Conclusion **
Over half of the new champs and reworks have been toxic. A lot of the preseason changes got reverted. A lot of the new keystones and items also proved problematic and could have been foreseen. My biggest issue is not that Riot is trying out new things. My biggest problem is how long it takes for them to realize and accept failure and too listen to the community and act accordingly. It takes far too long to balance out the game and it is extremely difficult if you change core aspects of the game every 2 weeks. Season 6 is almost ending and we finally reached a stable meta but that is just because of Worlds. Also it seems like they lost touch with their game. If counting everything, roughly 75% of your forced changes result in failure it means something is very wrong with your viewpoint of the game and how you see its future. It means you lost touch with the game. Go back to basics. I sincerely hope season 7 will not be the same rollercoaster season 6 has been.
