So what are we gonna do about Kalista?

I think at this point it's pretty obvious Riot is going to nerf Kalista. She's dominating almost every LCS game she's in, and that's a big no no. Kalista is an interesting champ to say the least. Her win rate anywhere other than LCS has never been that great, but that's not because she's a weak champ (a wise man once told me win rates aren't everything). Kalista requires a tremendous amount of teamwork in order to play successfully. More so than any other champ in this game arguably. You need to have faith in your support, and your support needs to trust you, and it's extremely easy to have good teamwork in LCS games due to the fact that everyone is sitting right next to each other. In addition to having amazing support synergy, she also extremely safe, and keeps her support extremely safe as well when her ult is used correctly. Her ult has the luxury of being both an engage and a disengage (whatever she prefers). Finally, she has amazing objective control. Rend has no damage cap on monsters, and objectives are huge this season. When you have a champion capable of dealing large amount of instant burst to monsters, it is incredibly valuable (especially when combined with your jungler's smite).

I think 3 or 4 seasons ago Riot said they wouldn't make separate balances for pro and regular play just because they want everyone to be on the same playing field, but I think the time is now. Pros are so so so much better than everyone else that it's literally like they are playing another game, and I would say there are 10ish champions or maybe even more than that that are completely worthless if you aren't like diamond 2 or above. It's sad to see so many interesting champions get gutted within months of their release, and I think Riot should take a hard look at different balancing for Diamond 1+ and everyone else. It's not like adjustments made for pro play are huge anyways (look at the patch notes for last patch) but I'm kinda tired of having awesome new champions become so useless that you basically never see them except in challenger games. They used to say they balance the game around platinum level, but let's be honest, they've been burying a lot of champions lately because like .01 percent of the playerbase can have a super high winrate with them.

They should be doing it at around the platinum level, a lot let champions would be burnt for being played by such a small %. The worst part is they wont nerf champs like lee generally (and I wouldn't be surprised if they buff him after worlds) because people "enjoy" watching the same ward hop jump every game. But any time Kha, Elise, Rengar, or a few others they get instant nerfed.

Just another example of how much of a joke riots balance team is. They gutted kalista because she is BROKEN and cannot be balanced. But rather than leave her in the gutter like the should have(and said they would), they buffed her like they completely forgot why they freaking nerfed her in the first place. Now she's running rampant again.... [zombie-brand-clap]

its sad that riot keeps so many champions exclusive to the LCS,pretty much every patch for players in solo queue has 1/4th of the champs off meta because of pro play and half of the champs off meta because of the meta rotation.Ryze was left at 44% winrate for 1 year and only gets attention 1 week before the LCS.

She's fine in soloqueue, Nerfing champs for proplay doesn't effect anything you will ever do. It will only effect what champs you see in worlds and others.

Proplay =/= High Elo Soloqueue

destroy her, she shouldn't be viable as long as she has that jump passive
