(AP Ratio Item) Veigar Build- Is It Worth It or Not?

Veigar item 3020 item 3165 item 3089 item 3030 item 3100 item 3285

Veigar is a champion with infinite AP, so I have to ask if you all think a build that completely abuses this fact would be good. GLP offers a 100-200 (+35% AP) magic damage boost, Lich Bane offers a 75% Base AD (+50% AP) magic damage boost, and Luden's offers a 100 (+10% AP) magic damage boost. This adds up to a total of 200-300 (+95% AP) (+75% base AD) magic damage boost to add to your burst and GLP adds you a slow to make setting up cages a little easier. Without runes, the build only reaches 30% CDR, but this can be fixed with runes. What do you guys think of it?

EDIT 1: Second Build Veigar item 3020 item 3165 item 3135 item 3089 item 3100 item 3030

Based on feedback, I edited the build to this.

I rather like doing a bruiserish Veigar Build with some defense, deathcap and Lichbane. Absolutely demolishes tower and doesn't have to hit his w to kill people. Jus Q Auto R

I really like GLP and I hope it gets buffed because it's really good on Veigar. It pseudo-removes his reliancy on his team to land his E since usually people just walk out during the delay, especially if you are chasing them. Gaining a 95% AP ratio through just items on a champion with infinite AP scaling is really good.

At times, I've considered the following for a core item build: item 3158 item 3100 item 3089 item 3135 w/ 20% CDR in runes

Afterwards, I could just build defensive items for survivability to ensure I can survive fights and get off multiple casts of Event Horizon and Lich Bane procs.

The following would be decent defensive items to round out the build: item 3512 item 3026 item 3742 item 3102

Alternatively, you could build Rod of Ages as your first item for sustain and survivability in the laning phase. For example: item 3158 item 3027 item 3100 item 3135 item 3089 item 3026

Bruiser Veigar, the currently most reliable build in my opinion. Good for every lane except for certain match ups in Top Lane. I would agree that not having Void Staff is major loss actually. It might be better to get Void Staff instead of Luden's now that I think about it.

Tbh if you get enough AP for this build to be abusing anything, you've already won.

Sort of overkill IMHO. That build is very expensive and unsafe, and Veigar already has no problems deleting squishies from the game. The lack of a Void Staff also seriously hampers its effectiveness against people who build MR.

You need more magic pen than just the sorc boots is main concern with the build you put up.

item 3030 & item 3100 are both bad on him. You are trying to reinvent the wheel. Anyone going against a veigar is going to build MR so you will need a item 3135. You'll also almost always want a item 3157 .

Lichbane is not bad on him. It's actually very powerful. Just make sure you actually get your core first.
