I've been playing him recently (granted as a tank support) but I could see it being done, especially after his rework. People generally underestimate a Taric especially early game. It's funny seeing a champ like Vayne doing little to no damage to me and Qing myself all the damage she does! It's funny.

I once played Taric into Tryndamere

His tears tasted so good. I bullied him so hard pre 6, he couldn't trade or get near his own minions to farm. When he hit 6 he tried to all in me but i just stunned him under my own tower and moved.

item 3057 pretty much lets taric out trade a lot of melees that are reliant on AA's.

and getting a sheen when you have some extra support gold.. just brings on the hammer time [slayer-jinx-wink]

Once I played tryndamere into taric and he scaled much harder than I did. He did surprising amounts of damage that I still don't know where it came from... And to add to that he had all tank items so I could not touch him in the least.

His passive allows him to do cool damage while being armor heavy, and sheen from items stacks and works with it, so he actually does quite a bit :P. and if I remember correctly, his ult also increases the dmg of all allies in a certain area, including himself.

Majority of all top laner are better than Tryndamere pre level 6 so it no surprise.

Since ice born scales with armor, you could take cinderhulk and iceborn instead of magus and randuins.

I know, but magus means your midlaner gets blue buffs, otherwise his heals take a lot of your mana during clears. Plus you clear way faster with it. Late game you can drop it for Spirit Visage or Thornmail. Maybe Warmogs, but that's niche.

Reminds me of the start of season 3 (or was it season 4? It has been a long time now!) Where Riot accidentally made taric ridiculously OP for like two weeks. It was when his passive damage scaled with his max mana.

Forget Urf, I played Taric/Sion bot lane in S1 and S2 a few times.... it was completely rape-tastic.

Also remember Taric's stun used to stun longer.... as did Sion's... RIP in peace, Sion.

Ya. They hit Taric hard when they made it so his stun scales with the ability level. Now you have to pretty much max that first over W if you want that stun to be meaningful.

I agree.

I really liked it back when it increased the duration of the stun the further away the target was. So if someone tried to run they were stunned longer... but if they were closer it stunned less. It made it so the INCREDIBLY slow traveling projectile would actually have a point/be meaningful ... rather than be utter shit, the way it is now.

New Taric rework:

Passive - Gems: Taric gains 10/15/20/25/30 bonus armor. Allies near him gain bonus armor equal to 12% of Taric's bonus armor.

Q - Hammer Time - Taric slams his hammer down on the ground, stunning nearby enemies who are forced to dance (similar to Sona's Crescendo).

W - Nothing More than Glass - Taric shatters his armor, dealing magic damage to nearby enemies and losing the passive bonus from his armor. His enemies lose 5/10/15/20/25% of their armor for 5 seconds.

E - Outrageous - Taric heals himself and an ally for a base plus a percentage of his maximum health. His ally gains a buff for 8 seconds that deals 10/20/30/40/50 + 15% of Taric's armor as magic damage to anyone who auto attacks the ally.

R - Radiance - Unchanged.

There's bound to be some complaints. There always are when a new champion is out. Plus fighting someone who can heal without items is immensely frustrating, double so when it's hard to put a dent in them.

I did see some things in his current kit they could look at. Take his W for instance. He is one of the few champs who has an ability that does damage that scales on armor rather than AP, AD or even HP and would be nice to see them build on that more. Whatever happens, I will not forgive riot if they take out his Outrageous quote, that is the most important thing in his kit .__.
