"Fill" is a joke

Please, Riot, can we stop pretending the Dynamic Queue is fully functional and that Fill doesn't mean support?

I've been playing Fill for sometime now and got assigned support 90% of the games.

There are ways to fix this, for instance, make it so if you pick Fill two games in a row you can't get the same role as your previous game, worst case scenario you'd play support 50% of the time.

Or make it so we have the option to "Fill every role, except..."

Or make the Fill option frequency dependent in a way that every role has about 20% chance of being picked.

I played like 10 games on fill yesterday, got support twice, AD once, jungle twice, mid 3 times and top twice

Small sample size but it seems alright to me

How about you stop playing fill then and actually pick a secondary? Simple as that.

You are wrong..i main a single role (jungle in my case) used to get 80% jungle games in S5, now, if i can play 30-40% jungle:)..is it fair? ofc not.. Sure i can fill, but i can;t carry from those roles. i can carry only from the jungle..that's why i even play this game, bcs i like to jungle.\

For the OP..pick MID secondary, might help get you the role you want at the cost of a few extra minutes of que time;)

Same thing as everybody, i would fill..sometimes i would even give up my role..The ideea is that we talked and decided who goes where.An unwritten rule, pick order. It worked fine. For example, i suck mid. I would very rarely play mid.

And i had 80% jungle games, now i have half, maybe:)..

I would like that, because I can play anything except adc. Funny thing, though, I get top lane more than I get support when I pick fill... lol.

I am from Brazil, so maybe there's a difference between the servers in terms of picks, this could explain why you get mostly top.

its working as intended. NO ONE fills for support except the 0.01% of support mains in this game. so since no one ques for supp fill will always net you the supp role because that is what needs filling.

Yeah, totally happening. Pick the lanes you want if you're really not interested in filling though.

Having said that, I accepted some friend requests after getting a win as support with an awesome adc ... last guy in the pre-made ended up as support and picked panth. I should've dodged, panth fed a jinx and my block list grew by 1.

Wanted to share a sad troll story.

I am interested in filling.

And I love playing support. But the idea behind filling should be "I'll go every lane", not "I'll go support, but if someone else wants it I can go other lane every 10 games or so"

Before dynamic queue "Fill" actually made sense, more often than not I would be in a team where people wanted to go support.

Beggars can't be choosers. You are literally saying you will take whatever role to get the fastest queue time. It's just that most people don't like playing support. That's not riots fault.

I'm not picking fill to get the fastest queue time, I'm picking fill because I don't know what I do want to play. After 4 consecutive games of support I no longer want to play support but there are 4 other positions that I don't care between. Imo in normals you should be able to pick up to 4 roles in order, with at least 2 as a minimum.

I think adding another Choice slot would be good, along with an "Anything but..." button.

Contrary to your beliefs, however, when you pick fill, you do pick it to get the fastest queue times.

I understand that 'fill' is designed as a fastest queue time button, I still am not clicking it for that reason. Frankly when I'm playing normals I'll play anything but adc if possible, however I like variance. Getting any role several times in a row drains on me and leads me to picking champs I never play, just to keep an interest.
