Why don't we have ranked-restricted forums yet?

It's been explicitly stated that balance is done around Platinum+, while 95% of the posters in this forum are below that. This makes having actual discussion on balance impossible; anything those of us who are actually good at this game post is drowned by Bronze III players posting about their conflicting experiences playing with/against players whose are barely functional.

See Ekko as a great example of this. 'Oh god his 3 second telegraphed stun is too stronk, I can't move out in time!' said no Platinum+ player, ever.

Why don't we have gameplay/balance forums restricted to Platinum+?

Because not all bronze player are that bad. I would probably quit the game if all I every saw was the stupidity of bronze, but the few decent intelligent people give me hope.

Being intelligent doesn't make you good at this game.

Restricting discussions on the game's balance to the 5% that don't use the forums won't accomplish anything.

It will let us discuss balance without the majority of every thread being barely functional monkeys complaining that they can't win by drooling on their keyboard.

But it does give you a good idea of how to balance the game properly.

Being good at shooting a rifle doesn't tell you how to put one together, and vice versa.

While I have long wished that the forums could be filtered somewhat, I also recognize that any possible filter that would keep out those boorish posters would also restrict several good players who just haven't bothered with whatever prerequisite you could possibly imagine.

Except for personal, individual interviews, but who the hell has the time for that?

Unfortunately that is true, but if you are not intelligent, odds are you don't know anything about balance. That also means that being good at the game doesn't mean you know how to balance it.
