With Ziggs Bot now meta...

is this the first time in all of LoL history where ADC's have not been mandatory for the meta?

Can we just sit back and admire the revolutionary changes of the game? Whether you agree with it or not, this is some pretty perfect evidence that something is changing.

I wonder if Riot is going to support this playstyle or nerf anything that stand out to bury it. Honestly, I don't mind either way, I'm just interested to see where Riot decides to take LoL with this new strategy in mind.

Just let it happen, if it lets ziggs replace some adcs then good.

If it doesnt then it wasent ment to be.

Stuff like this doesnt need a post every single time.

Ziggs Bot is a revolutionary evolvement for LoL Gameplay, and here we are in the gameplay forums. You really expect people to not talk about this phenomena, basically the first successful ap bot champion? This is huge and people are going to express their opinions on the matter because it effects the game and therefor directly effects their game experience. Whether it is a positive or negative impact should be discussed.

I just don't see why you're complaining about players talking about a huge gameplay movement here on the gameplay boards...this place was specifically designed for these kinds of discussions lol

perhaps, or maybe other wave-clear champions that can take towers pretty fast will emerge. Annie has been mentioned a few times with her tibbers. Heimerdinger might be decent as well, although he doesn't have as much tower damage, he provides more tower pressure imo.

Kayle could be put back into the bot lane as either adc or support with this Ziggs thing happening as well.

Of course, this is all guesswork and no one can say for certain what will happen in the future. I'm just theory-crafting here

Generally for traditional bot lanes, if you get pressure, you make the enemy ADC suffer for every CS. Like you make them work for every auto, every step they take to position for zoning is like walking through needles. You don't get that with Ziggs - thats a problem.

ez just tower dive him with jungler get him far behind and its done.. he has no lifesteal and very low hp. Top of all that another apc and no ADC then everyone builds mr and calls it a day

I mean there was that period where morde bot was pretty oppressive. Sure adc's were showing up elsewhere (and they still are), but I wouldn't say they were anymore necessary then than they are now.

Still, riots only likely to step in if it's oppressive to the point adcs aren't even viable competition, or if theres no counterplay to it. I don't believe either of those things are the case.

given a week or two (if no changes occurr) I feel like Ziggs will just fall into a niche pick. Like, if you're a heavy ad team (ad top/jg with ad assassin mid) when you need waveclear, he's your guy.

Until then, he'll just be spammed until people learn how to counter the playstyle (just like a new champion release) and then he'll settle down

The problem with AD supports is that a lot of them require gold-heavy items (aka, don't function well with the current cheap support items) which is why we don't see ad supports to often.

But hey, I'm usually more wrong than right and I'd love to see some ad supports rolling out. Poppy was as close as I've ever seen, I still think she could make a great support.

Only one question.

One, this is pretty cool.

Two, is ADC Ziggs built full AP like midlane Ziggs?

I may just be confused becuase people call him adc Ziggs and bot Ziggs, and I have yet to see him in one of my games.

The issue is that Ziggs takes towers fast. Those two not so much. You need an equivalent ap champ that can tear down towers as fast as he can or close enough.

Ah okay.

Only thing is that wrecking towers is Ziggs' niche among AP mages, so he has that niche secured.

Hence why so much attention is being made over this. I'm more amused people hadn't thought of this sooner since the mid season mage update last year as well as bot tower being intentionally weakened.

If you really want to give it a go, use champions who do well using lich bane for auto attacks. They won't be as efficient, but it's worth a try.

As an anecdotal example about AP bots, I one time laned against a Heimer/Illaoi. He went zzrot and banner of command. It was oddly effective between the two of them. Unsure of it's consistency, but it was definitely an interesting game.

It's possible. I've had a fair amount of fun and success with him as support. He certainly does well in a carry role.

It's not necessarily bad, might spice up the marksman meta too, the marksman like Varus who can deal with him will be played more.

They most likely won't touch it, unless it turns out unhealthy (or overly dominating, ofc).

It's hard to tell if it will though. Ziggs doesn't have as much lockdown as other mages do, but his combo still seems a little scary to be allowed in 2v2 lane.

TF has been attempted for years in botlane, both as AD and AP. It's a skill match up at that point. A good TF player is needed. Ziggs is a lot more forgiving in his playstyle and damage.
