Killer of Night93 votesDon't judge me wrong, i liked odyssey as mode and its mission but non premade group had a lot of problem doing it (4 people doing the 4 augment one and the other one doing ziggs and sona but with 6 augment for example). Also forcing other people to do your mission isn't fun at all if they want to just try stupid stuff (ap yasuo or ap jinx). Also it wasn't always winnable so you had to do it multiple time before to actually manage to do it. Losing coop vs ia is easy to do which lead into only 1 game to play with. Otherwise i like the reward and the difficult but not all the player could enjoy the mission.

Chembaron Yamada1 votesIf you really wanted to beat this mission (like I wanted to), then it wasn't that hard to get a group for it. I simply made a post on the EUW boards that I am looking for team members to do this specific mission and alot of people added me with the same goal.
Then I tried it a few times with a 5 premade team and badabing badabum, there I got it.

I finished the two augment and the all sona/ziggs missions at 4 AM in the morning with random people I duo'd with, mustve taken us >15 tries, but boy when we did it was it the most hype thing in the world. Post game chat was spammed for 3 whole minutes. In the end I got warring kingdom skin line, one of the duo's got the challenger skin line (two skins xd).
Anyway its fun when you dont have trolls running it down because you didnt pick their augments or 5 sona's .

But agreed, the moment you manage to achieve this was so absolutely awesome. I did it at the evening and was so extremely hyped afterwards, I had to stay up and jump up and down.

The primary rewards we get from missions ARE icons. You can't really try to devalue the issue here with a mockery of the rewards.

The difference in this matter is that this has been a complaint that has been REPEATEDLY brought up in the past. Riot has even acknowledged in the past that it is difficult to require premade teams to do missions. So this is a pile of shit that Riot shouldn't really be stepping into again.
This wouldn't be half as much of a problem if Riot had some kind of LFG system or hell, global chat room in the client where you could recruit. Instead, you're stuck posting on the boards and hoping that someone reads it and sends you a message (at which point you have no idea who this person is who's randomly friending you if you're in the game and get a request). So for them to keep making missions that require premade 5 man groups is just incredibly stupid when the tools to make those groups are not available in the game itself. It's backwards, and it's something that pretty much every team game I can think of has managed to have some way to mitigate with tools in the client.

Is not a problem, LOL (is at BEST a "minor annoyance for the few players that are REEEALLY into collecting EVERYTHING"). They are a couple of "troll quests" linked to April Fool (a troll occasion) with a VERY minor reward. I could go for it and I won't cause I couldn't care less (and if you REEEALLY can't live without the platinum version of a DAMN ICON rethink your prio...just organize yourself a little, lol.
(Skipping the last part with the suggestions: they may be valid but they surely are besides my point But yeah: a post starting with SUGGESTION instead of a void mockery would surely showed a MUCH difference message about us)

Yes, it's a troll mission and who cares about 2 BE, BUT it's necessary for mission progression and I personally like to collect all the icons and finish all the missions if I can. I don't want the dumb thing to just sit there in my mission list until the event is done and I want to add that icon to my collection (as ugly as it is) because I collect icons.
LIKE, AT THE VERY LEAST you would think Riot would be proportional in competence to their net worth and that they would satisfy the minimum standard that all other games are capable of implementing and do some sort of search / chat function to look for teammates. Something WE HAD, but they removed WITHOUT EVER REBUILDING. AND NO, WE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO USE DISCORD OR THE BOARDS TO MANAGE THAT. Like, literally fucking OPGG managed to do better and had a system to find teammates for Clash based on rank, role, etc. [zombie-brand-facepalm]
Just really poor brainpower behind this decision, no excuse.

Season 8 happened; they got warned 5 million times about how bad they were doing, since they weren't even able to notice it, leaving alone to fix it, and they didn't care for sh at all. The people responsible for that are basically all still there. Why in the hell do you expect something could get any better? :P
