@Riot, Could you look into reducing objective gold?
I think it makes pro play very uninteresting when the best way to get a gold lead, is by just shoving down towers. Yes, I understand that the goal of this game is to kill the towers, but why does it have to be so rewarding. Towers have a LOT of innate value. "Safe" zone, true sight, help clear waves.
Killing towers has so many advantages (vision control, drake/baron control, jungle camp control), why does it have to also give such a huge gold lead too? I think thats what makes comebacks so hard. We see teams with like 2k gold leads, take baron and suddenly their gold lead is 4K (300 each, + 325). Then they take some towers (which is pretty free with buffed baron), and suddenly their gold lead is like 7k (800 gold for each inner tower, 800 gold for each inhib tower).
It also makes sending 5 people to siege so much more valuable. Giving up a couple of waves? Who cares, you'll get the gold back from towers anyways.
In SoloQ? It also makes comebacks so hard because the snowballing team just gets SO much gold from just taking your towers, your jungle, and baron.
Before: if you're behind, you just need to play safe.
Now? You lose more by playing safe because the teams gonna extend their gold lead from 3K to 10K without getting a single extra kill. It's better to keep trying to fight while you still can (if you stall, they'll accrue such a huge gold lead that the next fight will be even harder).
