Lee is flashier, but Xin seems to be more playable. They bring similar utlility...dive in either kill a squishy or insec a primary target, and do you best to get out. But, after level 3 I've never lost a 1v1 as Xin vs Lee. After you get red smite, its not even close.

The extra early damage Xin seems to have helps with early ganks, and he seems to not fall off as much late game.

Yes, at the highest of skill levels, a Lee Sin main should be able to out play a Xin Zhao. But, only like 10% of the player base could be considered that skill level.

So, wouldn't that mean Xin>Lee?

Xin zhao is a really simple champion you walk up press your abilities and just auto attack and he has really high 1v1 power so no wonder you can win against a lee level 3

I get that one is complicated and the is easier to play. But, they bring similar skills and the ez champ is better in the 1v1, doesn't that make him the better champ 90%+ of the time. And, if Xin is a better choice then Lee 90% of the time, then Xin>Lee

No, being better in a 1v1 does not make him always a better pick. 1v1s aren't the only thing that matter.

every champion has there place in the game besides urgot of course who the fuck cares about urgot. xin can be killed easily later on while a skilled lee can still be useful with picks

Xin can dive in and knock a target out also. In fact he can knock 4 targets out while continuing to focus one...

However, he can't oneshot a squishy mid-late game as easily

A fed Xin will wreck squishes, just like a fed Lee. And, since Xin takes red smite...he can eat up tanks.

They are different, I'd argue that Xin leans more towards being a skirmisher and having better sustained damage, and his 1v1/2v2 game is generally stronger.

Though I would say Lee is more diver/assassin with the execute on his Q and his ability to get in/out w/ a ward hop.

I personally favor Xin over lee mainly because xin tears down turrets much faster than lee which helps the whole team snowball after a successful gank.
