I know the feeling, about 6 months ago I went on a 26 out of 30 game losing streak. I had to just play like crazy to get out of that streak. Here I am 6 months later and seeing lose streaks of 7-8 games then win 1, lose 1, lose 5 win 2. Getting to Silver 1, promo to gold then the floor falling out from under me going all the way back down to silver 4 0 lp. Its pretty crazy cause this has happened 2 times to me now.

Each lose is for 28 lp each until I hit silver 4 0 lp and it holds me there till I almost de-rank back to bronze (Lose 1 win 1 ect) then it evens out to where I get 18lp a win, 17 lp a lose. I will dig my way back to promo's to gold then poof it happens again. I keep trying though in hope that maybe just maybe it will chill out and let me move on. We will see in split 3 I guess.

i can relate.. trying so hard to climb. terrible teammates make it so hard. had a fizz with 300 ping just sit at his mid tower pinging how bad his ping was all game, allowing yasuo free farm & roam

then next game a vayne who would walk into the enemy draven. it's so frustrating

here's good luck to your future games, though! :-D

you got this !! [sg-lulu]

meh.... that's a dumb way to look at it and you will never rank up being afraid to rank up. Only time you should be "afraid" is if you feel like you not in the best mind set to play ranked. A better way to view ranking up is this.

Are you rested, hydrated, and feel like playing ranked and going to try hard? If yes play ranked game. If not, don't.

Have you just lost 2-3 ranked games in a row? Time to take a long break. People go on insane losing streaks to tilt, but if they just stopped playing for the day or swtiched to norms and then some other shit for awhile before going back to ranked they would significantly reduce their losing streaks. Even if you don't feel tilted, generally sometimes you are. Sometimes it just a case of bad luck but either way some days just not your day.

Its hard to describe but I have totally noticed this shit when I played ranked. I used to spam like 7-8 ranked games a day and by the end I am always brain dead and mostly relying on my teammates instead of myself. If I am on a win streak though I keep playing if I feel like it because you want to get those wins when you can. But when I hit 2-3 losses in a row a take a long break. Sometimes I just quit for the day. It's weird some days you can play super well but just always get shit teams so its time to just kiss ranked goodbye that day and try again another day. Even even just give it a couple hours.

Honestly if you are trying to play your best every game ranked really should be kind of tiring. There is a lot to think about and do game to game, and when you jump into auto pilot mode you are not playing your best and reduce your chances of winning.

i only played rank to any significant success once, and that was just one long win streak with a loss or two sprinkled until i got banned

every season before that, it was just 5-15 game win streaks, then quitting ranked after 2 losses in a row

or quitting ranked after i decide to int once. once i start inting, i don't stop until a 14day

I think it is understandable - I know precisely what you mean after being hit by the critical error bug earlier this week which caused by MMR to plummet. I really noticed a lot of frustration on the sense of other players.

There is a definite sense that players have lost their agency in the game - people are emulating the pros. Snowballs are too hard. And so many players playing champions that are high risk, high skill-cap which not surprisingly also lose hard. In fact, those bad Yasuos, Rivens, Qiyannas and Akalis can not just win you the game, but can lose you the game so easily. And this is right across the lanes - particularlly mid, top and jungle. (You can see this on sites like champion.gg or lolalytics - the most popular champions in champ select are the same ones that have terrible win-rates.) On reflection, I actually wonder if those people who were advocating so hard for champions which could "solo-carry" realized that they could also be getting champs that could "solo-lose".

I took a long break from ranked after the mess created last season. I think I might be doing it again.

I've gone on 10-15 loss streaks at gold 4 0 LP and not demoted.

You've literally got to try hard to drop from a tier.

I'm not touching ranked until Riot get their head out of their ass and nerf damage across the board. I'm no assassin main or ADC main. I main tanks. Tanks are nearly useless in this meta.

No they aren't.

I've seen many different tanks do well in games.

Problem with you tank mains is, You got too used to Season 6 where you needed 2 items to 1v9 a game because Sunfire Iceborn was ridiculously broken.

Now you can actually be killed you think your class is useless.

Tanks are a tad weaker than the other classes but they most certainly are NOT useless.
