Daily reminder that Sona has a 56% win rate...
Literally the most brainless champ in the history of this game.

Why do people insist on reminding the boards of things? We play the game, we know this already. You're not informing Riot here, you're just spamming the playerbase with this.
Please, we deal with too many junk posts as it is, don't do this daily.
Oh no, you're seeing League of Legends related content on a League of Legends forum?
The horror!
I'm fine with league content, but why the title? Can people really not come up with something better than "daily reminder" or "weekly reminder"? The worst part is, outside of a handful of people, they never do it daily or weekly.
fine then. Let's call it mémo périodique
That wasn't even his point like... At all. Why force sarcasm when it forces you to miss the point heavily.
He just complained abou the spammy and circlejerky nature of the "daily reminder what we all circlejerk about anyway". People know Sona's gameplay is uninteractive, people know she is strong right now, she has nerfs prepared on PBE. So what is point of posts like these other than circlejerk.
ARAM ACCOUNT ARAM ACCOUNT ARAM ACCOUNT ARAM ACCOUNT ARAM ACCOUNT
Yes I see that.
Huh, guess I have been playing a fair bit of aram recently. Thanks for noticing.
Does it matter? Nope. Would you be calling me an aram account if you could see more of my match history than the last few days? Probably not, but that would require you to scroll and I'm not sure if you'd do it or not.
Why is this even relevant
People like to look up accounts to find something they can use as evidence to say a given poster's opinion doesn't matter.
I have to admit this is the first time I've seen it done for something other than champion/game balance, so I am a little confused, but I'm just rolling with it.
I look other ppl up to lol, but someone playing Arams is irrelevant to this topic point. Shit Sona is prolly more broke on arams then sr
And to top it off I wasn't even talking about Sona or her state of balance, only the incredibly unimaginative and overused "daily reminder" thing.
I saw, that's why I was wondering why it mattered you happened to be playing Arams more lately lol.

I know ARAMS is irrelevant but you're right. She actually is much stronger there since her entire team is benefiting from her auras constantly (not to mention all the extra gold she gets which allows her to build AP).
She's always been a beast in Aram, so I imagine she's stupid now.
Oh boy here we go again..... A little while ago the 'most brainless champs' was janna/lulu. And now is sona? Well then gj boards, you never fail to suprise me. Have you even thought for ONCE that maybe JUST TINY LITTLE BIT MAYBE the reason that she has such a big winrate has to do with the fact that we have no more mr runes and she has aery, and as such we cant mitigate her dmg early on since its point and click ( kinda ). At least without sacrificing dmg that is.
It's unnecessary to call a champ brainless, it serves no purpose in the discussion.
But the points you bring up about no MR and Aery are a good argument to nerf her early game damage, if it turns out that she is still too strong after Aery nerf (which I consider likely to come).
It's unnecessary to call a champ brainless, it serves no purpose in the discussion.
I would disagree. I prefer playing healer-types in pretty much every team game I play, so naturally I like Sona, but I would gladly be the first to admit that she's really, really braindead. Which DOES affect balance, because braindead (at least in this case) translates to reliable.
For example, Rakan's heal requires him to land a skillshot vulnerable to minion block, then additionally stand next to his ally to get the heal off. This means his Q can be balanced around skillshot travel time, damage, scalings, heal strength, heal scalings, heck even his base MS and hitbox size can affect his healing. Meanwhile Sona just presses W while vaguely in the same screen as her ally. If you want the shield too, you have to go move next to them briefly. So the only balance levers (with regard to healing) that Riot can tweak is her base heal and her scalings.
But what about her damage? Same deal; if she's within range, she just presses Q. With almost non-existent cast time and no way to avoid the damage without a Yauso or Braum standing in front of you. Add the fact that she gets off an AA (empowered by whatever Sheen item she got) almost simultaneously and now Aery to boot, and that's a hefty damage chunk that can't be avoided happening in the space of a second or less.
See, that's actually what I mean. You phrased the case of Sona very well: she is extremely reliable, doesn't have alot of balance levers and so on. That's constructive feedback.
Maybe that is just me, but if I read people stating that a champion is brainless or braindead, it is often aimed to insult the players of the specific champion as well. You see that all the time in game when people are claiming that you just win because your champion is "braindead". That's what I meant, there are other ways to phrase the problems with Sona and you did a great job here to do so.
Would like to know why exactly I got downvoted though. Is it because I said that calling a champ brainless has no purpose or do people disagree that Sona deserves early damage nerfs?
I think it's the first part. Because as you've noted, how complex a champion is (i.e. are they "braindead"?) matters a lot. However, you stated the exact opposite: "It's unnecessary to call a champ brainless, it serves no purpose in the discussion." See, now that I know you meant that such a phrase is (in your experience) usually targeted at a champion's MAINS, I get your point, however you didn't list that qualifier. So it looks at face value like you're saying a champion's complexity doesn't affect their balance/health as a whole. tl;dr If you're going to say something like that, the context is really, really important to avoid misunderstanding. Like the comma in "Let's eat, Grandpa".
Sona's about as braindead as any other champion in my opinion. Anyone can play her and do 'okay,' but making plays with her and being an overall-good Sona player takes skill; you need to pick up on her AA-Q-AA combo, utilize Power Chords and weave into melee and back out with no mobility while managing your actives.
Just my 2 cents, I guess.
Oh there's definitely room for skill expression in her kit, just not as much as other enchanter supports.
I think the issue is more with Summon Aery than Sona herself.
(Please don't use Champion.GG. The stats are usually off.)
Talon and Malzahar are allowed to have high winrates, but Sona can't?
Hypocrisy at its finest.
Not saying you don't have a point, but a support having an extremely high winrate translates into the ADC winning the lane as well, generally.

No one said that Sona was the only problem champ. I'm sure Riot will deal with Malzahar soon enough, but I don't think Talon needs nerfs. The new runes were not kind to him, and his win rate has dropped significantly.
Come on guys sona is not really that broken "looks back at a 6/1/20 game where I have NO AP and actually have relevant team damage". Might be a bit to strong this season. I mean shes super weak >.> and needs all the buffs.

Just a quick Reminder that if you suck ass and a bronze 3 is better at predicting your next move then you are at playing, you probably bought that diamond 5 account somewhere
Great. Now we can shudder in anticipation as Riot blasts Sona with another wave of nerfs that will inevitably do nothing but destroy her instead of fixing the actual problem.
The most brainless champion in the history of League? Are you certain about that?
Because I've fought more brainless champs before. Like old Yorick, who did what Sona did (with all 3 of his primary abilities being just variations on the same thing), but didn't even have the basic decision of what to do with his passive (Sona, at the very least, has to choose between Staccato, Diminuendo, and Tempo). And then there's Garen, who, before his W was changed, was also completely brainless.
And Ezreal has 57% win rate and actual game breaking bugs.. What's your point?
