I don't get why everyone hates Annie so much

Kennen has the exact same AOE stun, and his ult does WAY more than Annie's. He also has more mobility than Annie, and he's manaless.

  1. True Kennen is an energy based champion so he doesn't have to worry about mana but at the same time he runs out of energy really quickly and is limited in how much he can do right away in a fight. On the other hand, Annie's mana cost aren't very high plus she generally goes RoA on top of having a mana refund (And CD?) on her Q giving her insanely easy farming/harassing potential for almost no cost.

  2. Kennen requires him to flash + E into the entire enemy team at melee range and throwing out his ultimate and usually Zhonyas. The stun is still with a small delay so you can run away from it, and once he gets out of Zhonyas his E is on CD and he probably just flashed, so he is a very easy target to kill afterwards. Annie just flash + Ults your entire team dealing insane amount of damage with an instant stun that is almost impossible to escape from and then she can just walk away if needed afterwards before people can retaliate.

  3. Kennen's stun also is a stacking mechanic where you have a lot of time to deal with it. If he lands a shuriken on you and you see he has his Auto charge stacked, then just back away and wait for your marks to disappear. Basically you can just play safe when you start getting a stack on you. Annie just has a stun up and can hold it for the entire game, where your only counterplay to Annie is basically..."Stay far away from her" Which if you are a melee champion is literally impossible if you hope to do anything in lane.

  4. Kennen can stun the target for 1.25 seconds, and if he stuns the same target within 7 seconds that stun is only .5 seconds. While Annie can stun the target for 1.25/1.50/1.75 and they're no decrease for multiple stuns so she can stun you for almost 2 seconds and then re-stun you again for almost 2 seconds right after.

  5. Also...Annie's ultimate can be used to tank turrets and other things.

Also...Kennen's ultimate is not that much more stronger then Annie.

Kennen's Ultimate: MAXIMUM SINGLE TARGET DAMAGE: 240 / 435 / 630 (+ 120% AP) Annie's Ultimate: MAGIC DAMAGE: 175 / 300 / 425 (+ 80% AP) + MAGIC DAMAGE PER SECOND: 20 / 30 / 40 (+ 20% AP)

Considering that you will be stunned for almost 2 seconds, you take 2 ticks of damage from Tibbers aura making Annie's ultimate actually dealing 505 + (120% AP) when maxed with potential to be even more damage.

I think mostly because 2/3 of Annie's offensive spells are cast instantly, while Kennen's abilities are all delayed (slow skillshot, stacking stun effect, AoE damage that applies stacks.)

But they cost mana, and she doesn't have any form of mobility. If she gets that close to you then you deserve to die. You can't really do much about Kennen. He just presses a button, get's tons of movement speed, and you die. All he has to do is land 1 shuriken. It's not that hard.

Really low mana costs tied with a mana refund when you kill with her q.

In a teamfight my entire team should be punished. How dare we not stay out of annies range the entire time of the teamfight.

At least his shuriken is a skillshot. Annie with her instant cast "skillshot" ult.

People act like she has to get in melee range to hit it. She doesnt.

"If she gets that close to you then you deserve to die."

think a lot of it has to do with this. some may say this is her "counter-play". although you could say that not going near a threat is counter play to any champion in the game :/ pretty lame excuse for counter-play imo

Same exact AoE?!

Annie's stun is INSTANT, Kennen's stun has to STACK. You can't avoid Annie, you can avoid Kennen (some of the time at least). Try again.

What you're saying is only partially true. Yes you can avoid Kennen's 'q', but honestly it's not that hard to land. the rest of his kit is just point and click. And he has mobility, so it's much easier for Kennen to catch someone than Annie. And let's not argue semantics here. They're both AOE stuns.

If there are 4 champions, and they are all caught in Kennen's ult, 2 of them can get away without getting stunned. Kennen also gets in Melee range. He's far less safe to play and less reliable.

Every aspect of Kennen's damage requires stacking.

He needs to auto to stack a charge. He needs to land his shuriken. He runs out of energy completely from 1 rotation. He needs to dash through enemies to hurt them with Electrical Surge. And then his ultimate hits a target a max of 3 times and NOT at the same time as someone else.

Annie literally casts R, and it hits EVERYONE at once.

Honestly, I don't think you played against any good annie before
