How to act in tank meta, when your teammates do not pick tanks, and enemies pick?

Hate this meta! Totally no counterplay vs combo like Leona/Malph/Irelia except insane snowballing early with champs like Riven or picking Sion/Mao/Amumu.

Wtf, give squishies some ways to answer to tank meta!

Careful fight picking, good warding - are you describing LCS or soloQ?

Squishy's itemisations have Arm Pen, MR Pen, %HP damage, Grievous Wounds etc. Use them.

Also you left survival items to late game even after you you already knew your team didn't have a tanker, ofc you lost.

And if enemies have tanks and you guys don't answer with one in champ select, it's pretty much asking to lose from the get go, there is not even a question to why you lost last game.

Heimer without AP is pretty useless. And Banshee wont help a lot there because rest of team was oneshotted every fight anyway.

About picks - there is must be balance. Or tank meta is same toxic as assassins meta. No tanks - you lost, no assassins - you lost. Especially in soloQ where you cant control other players picks.

Their team has 2 AoE hard CC with a hyperscaling duelist, your team has none that is comparable, Panth's ulti is delayed by 4 seconds or so it's not helping much, and it's a gank tool not a fight initiation.

Why even question how you lost, it's pretty obvious your team would lose every single team fight with how your team is constructed.

You went in with no tanks but 2 ADCs, no backdoorers and not even a duelist that maybe can scale well into late game by split pushing. Your team comp spelt doom into your last game from the get go, and your team's itemisation didn't help either, 2 Zhonyas, 1 Omen and 1 Maw that's it for the survival category. Zhonya is pretty much disregarded in this case since you guys can never win teamfights in the first place.

Hence with this game your only choice is somehow get those 2 ADCs fed without fighting with enemies directly, it might work, probably, but you guys didn't make it.

Simple as that.

I was first pick, picked Heimer vs Irelia - I know this match up very well. Asked team to pick frontlane, they ignored me. I wrote topic "How to act in tank meta, when your teammates do not pick tanks, and enemies pick? ".

So pls answer to me. Or say that tank meta = assassin meta.

Where balance is?

You need someone to act as a frontline in every game, when the enemies have 2 actual tankers and you have only a makeshift one, gearing your team with 2 ADCs is not gonna help generally.

Unless you wanna gamble the chances that enemies will wander off for 30 minutes doing mostly nothing so your team can gradually get fed by CS'ing and picking people off in skirmishes and eventually win the game by split pushing and objective securing.

With a matchup like that, your team's build besides Panth was too offensive oriented. Panth couldn't force people to attack him since he could only at best lock down 1 single person for you to burst through, building too offensive was giving you negative result as enemies would just ignore Panth and came to swarm into your team formation and destroy you 1 by 1 in TF.

That's why it's a pretty risky gamble and odds are just against you, and you guys didn't make it out.

Is Karma not getting play in this meta?

Honestly, she does really well against tanks.

Constant Q spam keeps them at a distance and Liandry's and void staff can help her actually damage them if she chooses to do so, while peeling for herself, or her adc if she's supporting.

Or is it because mana is a still an issue?

EDIT: To answer your post, pick someone safe, or pick an actual tank yourself, if your team's not doing it, then sadly you will have to.

I was first pick, so I wasnt able to predict what my team will pick. Topic is about what to do in game with squshies vs tanks.

The meta will turn again soon enough, personally I prefer it when my team picks champs they can actually play effectively and then you can snowball your lanes, anyway, the way to win with squishies to split push for days then poke & kite with your non-split pushers until you have a numbers advantage and then you brute force whatever objective is convenient. Basically you avoid straight fights at all costs.

well, against most tanks, sustain is their greatest weakness because they can't outdo it. their hp and damage have a limit

for instance, there has been a teemo build going around that recovers hp as fast as chogath can delete it, if you believe that.

then champs like Vayne come into play. I've never seen a vayne player use runaan's but they should with the range increase and additional targets

she is so short ranged that tanks can just position her for their own squishy or delete champ to take her out but with runaans, she hits that 3rd proc often on multiple targets

Blade OF THE RUINED KING - this, it hits tanks very, very hard

kogmaw: a tank's worst enemy...he shreds their stats and their hp and can outrange all of them. AP kogmaw = up to 15% of the enemy's hp in magic damage per auto attack (10% if you build attack speed)

but again, I mention champs who can outsustain them in a fight. Fiora, master yi, that life steal teemo, anyone care to mention others?
