Another jungling item bites the dust because of lanes exploiting it

Well congratulations. Because of a single abuser, you made this item (which no one really liked in the first place) completely useless in combat against anything other than monsters compared to Lichbane for people who use it in its intended role, jungling. Why not just nerf AP Ez if he is a problem instead of Diana, Eve and pretty much every AP jungler who gets fucked over?

And mark my words. New warrior enchantment will last 2-3 patches maximum before it too gets shafted because of AD Ez abusing it.

runeglaive was a really nice item, despite how much flak it received. there's literally no purpose to it if it's changes go through, the AoE sheen proc was like an AP hydra/tiamat. I saw a lot of potential with it in many champs and after it's changed so drastically to not convert to magic damage and not damage in an AoE outside the jungle, I really don't see what identity it will have anymore.

Exactly. When this passes, the item essentially becomes a much weaker Lichbane outside of the jungle. Which means it will never be used since every champion that it was good on will just buy another enchantment and/or Lichbane instead.

Diana? Devourer for more passive procs. Eve? Cinderhulk for tanky bruiser or just Warrior. Ekko? Forget about AP Ekko jungle, he is better as tank in that role anyway. Fiddle? The item sucked on him anyway, so it does not make a difference. TF (yes, I'm aware it's off-meta, but until now was still a very fun and viable build)? Only if you are AD, AP has no place in the jungle anymore.

Every other jungled item gets its unique gimmick. Cinderhulk's bonus HP, Devourer's double on-hits and Warrior's new burn all have their uses both in and out of the jungle. New Runeglaive's "gimmick" is being a poor man's Lichbane. Just give us Magus back then - believe it or not, some of us want a viable jungling AP item to exist.

I am not going to lie the fact that the AoE is now only monsters is actually a huge nerf. That means the AoE will never hit champions ever. Even if it does it will deal no damage. So you are just making it a lich bane. Good job Rito. Your balance team has been making some pretty dumb decisions.
