Defying all logic, this is the only MOBA that punishes you even more for having a leaver while not even having decency to allow you an early surrender at least.
Smite has this thing called early surrender, where if you've had an AFK for atleast 5 minutes, you can surrender at any point in the game
In HoTs if a player leaves , an advanced bot comes. You can ping him to follow u and aid u. Here it sits on the fountain forever. Well its riot after all, i dont have too many expectations. They are so incompetent that not even death recap is fixed. They said they fixed it patches ago while in fact they didnt. Let alone dealing wtih afks. Lyte said that it'll be safe to leave a game if a player doesnt connect for "x" minutes. Posted a year and a half ago, nothing happened till now. Riot, and their promises , and constant lying . Reminder there is no good way to implement this system without it being abused. Say for, your team is generally even. The enemy team is doing well, but your team has one bad player and four good players, but the good players make up for the bad player's skill. Now, let's say this was a premade... Said bad player could leave and give the good players buffs, so it becomes a stomp rather than a 4v5.
The current Leaver Buster only makes games more trollable. I'm (as of a few minutes prior to writing this post) chat restricted for ten games. Why? Because I mildly raged at a team who not only refused to actually play the match (defend or push) but refused to do anything other than attempt to drag the match out. 20 minutes in I tried to ff. 25 minutes I try to ff again. 30, then 40 minutes in... Until the enemy team finally decided they has enough kills and ended it. My options according to riot? Ignore them, sit in the game the extra 20 minutes, then report the offenders after the game. Which after many years of playing, we all know does absolutely nothing.

If for whatever reason a game is not going well or another player is being hurtful, remember you should not argue with others or retaliate. Instead, just mute those players; stop talking to them; and report them at the end of the game.
Like I said, guilty of toxic. However that "ty" at the end, is me thanking the enemy team for apologizing for my team wasting 20 minutes of my time, instead of /ff. Those who troll, get off free, those who speak out are ignored or punished. Riot's answer leads me to one conclusion, if you don't want to get trolled, don't play LoL.
